Provided by YP.comThis is a hidden gem! I am hesitant in writing this review, because a part of me wants to keep this place all to myself - I like it that much! This place is great, very cozy and laid back and great to have a quick bite to eat. The service is phenomenal, the lady that runs this place is great - very friendly, great attitude, and she has lots of patience when you don't know what to order.
The food seems to be cooked and served with love (with a Mom's touch behind it). My favorite is the lentil soup and hummus - so delicious!
They also have a pretty nifty neon fish tank, which is fun to watch while waiting on food.

Provided by YP.comThis cafe is like the hidden gem of Glendale. It's located on the basement of Hollywood Production building. I tried their falafel andit was great! The lady was really nice too =)

Provided by YP.comThe go-to place for a delicious and quick lunch. Love the falafel wrap and plate. Conveniently located to most offices in and around Brand Blvd. Terrific service, good food, reasonable prices. Recommended.

Provided by YPmobileThis place is literally in the basement. But if you are looking for a quick work day lunch and want some good Mediterranean food, this place wont disappoint you. Try the chicken kabob plate, pretty good!

Provided by YP.comThis is where wholesome greets your taste buds.
My circle of colleagues are always haggling over where to go for lunch. We have everything from the guy who won't each anything but meat to those who have kept vegan for the past so many years, from the nitpicker to the nibblers and they all say yeay to Basement Cafe.
You have to play dungeons and dragons to get there since it is really located in the "basement" of the Hollywood Production building but when you get there you get greeted by the likes of your Maa and cousin George. They will recognize you the second time you go there and remember how spicy you liked your pastrami or what you put next to your tabbouleh.
In short if you are in the area get in there and make your tummy thank full.

Provided by YP.comnot the best location (since it is in the basement) but once you get there you'll be happy with the food. I like the kabobs.

Provided by YP.comThis place is a little hard to find, but it's worth searching for. It is run by a very nice family and the food is always good.

Provided by YP.comLocated in the basement of an office building in Glendale, Basement Cafe is a low maintenance spot to get salads, sandwiches, soup and breakfast. Don't expect an amazing view or atmosphere, but the food is good and comes quickly.

Provided by YP.comI've only had two meals at the Basement Cafe, so take my review for what it's worth. But so far, the food is excellent, which is a rarity on that part of Brand in Glendale.
Funny way that I found out about this place - a coworker pulled out her sandwich which filled our office with this incredible aroma. Turns out it was the Basement Cafe's portobello mushroom sandwich (with red bell peppers, sundried tomatoes and hummus). It tasted just as good as it smelled. Today, I had their special - chicken kebab with rice and salad. Nice, fresh ingredients and very tasty results.
The staff is very nice, and they've done a great job with the ambiance, considering that it's ... well ... in a basement. Comfy tables, easy chairs and a couch. Good job.

Provided by YP.comI had the pastrami sandwich. It was pretty good. The staff is very friendly too. Prices are decent, but they could be better. The worst thing about the place is that it's not easy to find. Go to the back of the jewelry mart to find it.
