Highpoint Furniture formerly F...

Highpoint Furniture formerly Furniture & More is a furniture store located on 6910 West Bell Road, Glendale, AZ 85308. Frankie A., the owner, is the most unethical person I have ever dealt with. First, it is odd that his business card did not include his last name. Secondly, he would not accept credit cards, unless he could take your personal information, wait a day, send to the home office, apply the charges and an additional surcharge for using a credit card. We paid with a check. I bought one of the first Murphy Beds they sold, Desk and File Cabinet for our home office. Numerous times I asked Frankie if the bed would fit in tight spaces, and the answer was sure, sure, no problem, Frankie’s answer to every question we asked. Our fears came true, and the bed could not make the turn into the room, and it was a solid piece and could not be broken down, unlike other Murphy Beds we looked at. Since the furniture was custom, they would not take the furniture back. After discussion with Frankie he said he could engineer a solution, and literally cut the frame in half, and the additional cost, for their mistake, was $850. They held our furniture hostage, so we had no choice but pay the additional $850. Frankie said, that he would give us a store credit of $400 since he admitted it was a design error, we agreed. As a matter of fact, a majority of their Murphy Beds has been reengineered for shipping and ease of installation based on our experience. Yet, it cost us an additional $850, but those who purchased after us did not have to pay this additional amount. To top off the poor experience, the $400 store credit we tried to collect only applied to a large furniture order of $2,000 or more, which was not articulated to me and my girlfriend. Oddly, he was not the owner when we were buying, but when there is an issue, he is the owner, and the issue cannot be escalated. When I objected, Frankie became angry, and said the furniture being wrong was my fault, and called me the F word. Anyone who would do business with an unethical liar like Frankie will be extremely disappointed, especially if there is an issue.
