We went to daves auto care with a diagnosis from mineaki and got a estimate up to 1600 for repairs which included blower motor, compressor, freon, ect. When we took it in we where told blower motor was good and payed the price and next day blower motor was not working. We called dave personally and he had it brought back in as soon as possible and even brought the van back to our house to apologize personally and didnt charge us. We trust daves completly now and really appreciate them getting back to us and scheduling as soon as we could to fix the problem and also really appreciated him bringing the van back to our house just to apologize and make it right.

Dont Go to Dave's

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in 40 years ....... Dis-Honest , Rude and Very Unprofessional ..... The service advisor's do not communicate well , do not follow up and are not trustworthy ......... I took my car into Dave's after calling first to have my rear view mirror re-attached , they said they could fix no problem bring the car in ....Took to shop early on a Saturday Morning and asked the shop to take a look at my fog light as well as it was broken .....They advised that they would and call me ...... they never called me , I contacted them 3 times thru out the day and was told the mirror was fixed and was quoted $66 for that repair .... but they found a few issues with the lights and it would be around $200 to fix the fog, an issue with the third brake light , a light our in the tail lights and a bulb replacement for the front ....... They advised I could leave the car and they would keep it inside , get the parts for the repairs and would be ready on Monday ...........Got a call on Monday morning , now the repairs jumped to $600 ..... I advised for them I just wanted to fix the mirror and would be by to pick up car in the afternoon ...When I arrived at the shop, I was now told the mirror had not been fixed and the car was apart and not ready for pickup......I asked why I was told the mirror had been fixed and why the car wasn't ready as I declined to have the extra work performed at this time .... No explanation other than they were busy and had other cars to repair ..... at this time they brought the car up , apparently they just didn’t touch it all day again I asked to speak to Dave's as I found this unacceptable , After 25 minutes , I was contacted by Dave, Dave was aggressive and extremely rude and did not listen to what I had to say or what had happened regarding the timeline and pricing quoted by his staff... Dave was verbally abusive and all but threw My Wife and I out of his rip off shop and would not listen to our version of events ... Later that Day , Dave called and apologized and told me to bring car back and give him a second chance because his shop failed us and he would repair the mirror for no charge ...... Reluctantly , I returned to the shop after they called to tell they the $9 bracket to fix ...... but once again , even know I was the first customer in the shop and had waited over a week . I was told I would again have to leave the car all day .... At this time I asked for the bracket , that I would purchase it and repair the car myself as I did not agree to have to wait all day for a repair that was already supposed to be done.... After 20 minutes , I was told that I could not buy the part or have it , only the shop could fix ......... I went to the auto part store and spent $15 for the bulbs for my lights and the adhesive to re-attach my mirror ........$600 for a repair that cost $15 !!!!!!!!!!!!!i

I have never been happier with a repair shop than I am with Dave's. Being a single woman is hard enough, but when you need auto repair it's hard to find a good honest place. This place is....I would recommend Dave's Car Care to anyone.

do not go there. they wouldn't even speak to me (the mechanics), made the front desk lady do it. I'm 24 and female, they tried to tell me it would cost $350 to have a evap hose that was cracked replaced that attaches to the charcoal canister on a 2003 dodge neon-work I can do myself. they also told me i needed the entire leak detection pump replaced. I took it someplace else down the road and they did it for $20, not even kidding and told me the pump was fine, the hose was just completely missing. they saw Ohio plates and tried to take advantage, don't trust them for an instant!

On August 30th, 2011 my car wa...

On August 30th, 2011 my car was taken to Dave’s Car Care because the car was

overheating. The diagnosis performed identified a radiator leak. The radiator, radiator cap, and hose clamp were replaced.

On February 13th, 2012, the vehicle was being serviced for an unrelated issue at

another facility. While performing service, the technician noticed coolant in

the undercarriage drip pan. On further investigation, it was found that the

radiator and overflow tank were void of coolant. It was noted by the technician

that the incorrect radiator cap was used during the repair of the vehicle on

8/30/2011. It was also noted that the upper hose

clamp was not properly attached during the 8/30/2011 repair.



I telephoned Dave at Dave’s Car Care to inform him of the issues that had been

identified. Rather than taking responsibility for the incorrect repair, Dave

chose to attack my integrity as well as the integrity of the other shop owner.

I paid a visit to Dave’s car Care on the morning of February 14th where I was

verbally assaulted and told that my business relationship with Dave was hereby

terminated. That's good news for me and my vehicle.



DO NOT use Dave's for your car repair needs.

I have been going to these fol...

I have been going to these folks for the better part of a decade with all my vehicles until the day they tried to rip me off in a big way. My emission light went on in my 2002 Honda Civic. Estimate from Dave's was over 700 dollars. I thought this was too much considering the car is ten years old, so I paid the 130 dollar diagnosis fee and went straight to the Earnhardt Honda Delearship. Lord and behold Earnhardt Honda fixed the problem for 187 dollars. I went straight back to Daves with receipt in hand wanting to know whey they tried to rip me off and why I should not report them to the Better Business Bureau. Dave was on vacation in Hawaii so the shop manager called me the following day. He tried to explain to me over the phone why the cost was so high, meaning that it has been their experience to replace this and that because it goes bad early on. It is now three years and 60K miles later, and I have not had a problem. Need I say more?

In response to this review, neither I nor my staff have any recollection of this complaint. It would be totally and completely unusual for us to ignore any customer that had such a compelling charge. We respond and resolve any complaints as quickly as possible....And I am not understanding why it took this customer 3 years to write a complaint and why would you wait 3 years to do so??????

Always Someone I Can Trust! by Roy

I have been bringing my car to Dave's for over 6 years and have had a great experience with them. They are honest and tell me what needs to be done on my vehicle now or can wait and let me budget it. I trust them with all my vehicles and won't go anywhere else. They also give me options if I need lesser expensive parts or the more expensive parts that tend to last longer there's always options. The shop is always really clean including the bathrooms.

Front End Alignment

I paid the bill, around $84,and didnt feel a difference in the way the car drove. I got home and looked at the wheels, which were covered with brake dust and I did not see the marks in the dust where the alignment probes were mounted to the wheels, so I jacked up the car and saw that no adjustments had been made at all, anywhereI went back to Daves and asked to see the computer readouts of the toe in, caster and camber, and was told that the alighnment was not done. I asked why I was charged for the alighnment and it wasnt done was told that the charge is for the inspection and not the adjustments. I asked why I was charged when nothing was done and was told that the mechanic looked at the vehicle visually and determined that the front end components were too worn out to make adjustmentsI was given a full refund a few days after I asked for it but why would I be charged for something they didnt do? FYI I drove the car 3 years with regular grease intervals and never wore out a tire

Outstanding service!

Dave has been taking care of my mother's car for many, many years, and I am now taking mine there, too. They are dependable, honest and only do what they say they will do. It is comfortable to go to a car repair shop and not worry about getting ripped off!!!
