Probably the worst decision I ever made was to bring my transmission to Crown. One week after I got the car back it started acting up again and within days I couldn't even get it in gear. Then months later all the transmission fluid leaked out and I was told the seal is bad. I had talked to an employee and he told me that they don't even change the seal many times. They keep changing the name but have the same owner and same bad service I've seen it for years.

IT TURNED OUT TO BE A MINOR ISSUE AND WAS CORRECTED FOR UNDER A $100.00, THANKS CROWN

This company was great to deal with and always kept me informed. They did a great job explaining the problem and thorough in the repair. I was pleased with the courteous and friendly staff; they no doubt contributed to my great experience.

Absolutely worst repair shop I've ever dealt with. The owner/manager Mike Lies about anything and everything he possibly can to take your money. Nothing out of his mouth is the truth. Had my transmission break in my car, and desperately needed to have it fixed. I am very mechanically inclined but didn't have the time to do it myself and I'm positive that most of the parts that we agreed to replace on this transmission were not replaced. He would not return my old parts, refused to let me anywhere near my car while it was being worked on because they were breaking it in the meantime. was told it would take 2-3 days, but after receiving it I had no 4th gear and Mike tried to tell me it was my problem and there is no way it was his mistake. Prior to having my transmission serviced there, I my brakes were in tip top shape.Their mechanics bent my backing plate and tore my CV boots when installing and removing. My vehicle was jacked up improperly and damage was done to my rocker panels. Not to mention every square inch of my car was covered in oil and dirt and the car was returned with a completely empty tank of gas when it was full when I brought it in there. When promised my vehicle back or a rental to get to work, Mike suddenly disappeared and held my car for 4 more days AFTER payment without a rental car. Beware of this shop!

I agree with the last post. Reading the complaints about this shop's owner one finds obusive, even threntening comments if one had problems with the "repairs." Complaints include, work paid for and not performed, excesssive delays in repairs, repeated returns for work not properly performed, even new problems occuring within hours or days after the vehicle has left his shop. What good is a warrnaty if one's vehicle is in the shop for days or weeks waiting for a repair? And, is the warrnaty valid if the owner changes the compnay name? One star is generous.

Let's see, Crown transmission, before that Arrow, before that Dynamic and before that Aamco Dynamic. And the owner remains the same as does his "associate" Ray, Thought the owner uses Schwartzwald, Scheatzwald and Schwarts. And not as his ads read a member of the BBB. All these name changes. One must wonder why a business would change names that frequently. Understandable the Aamco was removed, the real Aamco sued him. One must click a star to post, Hopefully the one will be interpreted as a negative star.

Very fairly priced, excellent turnaround time for repairs. Crown Transmission Service in Glen Ellyn is my go to place!

This place is honestly ajoke. I cannot believe service could be this bad. The owner uses obsene language, admitted mechanics donthave"skills" for all jobs. Place changed names but same owner same mechanics same lies and problems. The dont honor waranties so why offer them? Always an excuse and is a compulsive liar. They will keep your car for weeks, not fix the problem, upcharge and take your money. Save the aggrivationand steer clear!! I wish i would've!!

Oh my! Positive comments on Arrow , I mean "Crown" Transmission service? What a joke! Obviously effort at trying to turn your own ratings around! If this place put as much effort into their business as they do into writing reviews, they might be average at best. Take it from a real customer that was ripped off, don't believe the hype!

Arrow Transmission Services is fantastic! They truly know what they're doing! Their techs was able to repair my coil, spark plugs and battery the same day! They were courteous, and friendly. I will never go anywhere else for my Camry! Thanks to the whole team at Arrow Transmission Services! This place is honest and very straight forward about their prices.

Professional, Respectful, Knowledgeable, Efficient - All the qualities you would want at a auto shop are at Arrow Transmission Services. I have been a customer for quite some time now, and have been completely satisfied since the first time I used their services. I highly recommend their services to anyone and everyone.

I just want to say that if you need transmission work on your car, or truck. Arrow Transmission Services is the place to go. This man is so honest. He explains exactly why your vehicle has failed. His prices are way below market, he gives same day, or next day service. Total quality. I had an old Honda transmission rebuilt by him last week, it runs like new now! This man is a gem. I have used him for years, and so have my friends.

These guys rock. I went there with a scary transmission problem and they treated me very fairly. It turned out that a fairly minor fix worked for me and it was less than $100. They were completely honest and helpful.

Honest guys. bottom line is that they listen to you and find the problem and are up front and honest with you. Not trying to just sell you a transmission to make $2000.



I brought by my 1990 Toyota Camry, told them of some slippage going on into second gear and they fixed by the throttle cable, not even a tranny problem. Then they found loose bolts that had caused a small leak of tranny fluid and just tightened them.



just good trustworthy guys, even if they do give you the dreaded, "need a new or rebuilt tranny" you should trust they aren't trying to just burn you.

I went there thinking I needed a new clutch and they gave me the best price from over 10 mechanics.They found out I was getting quotes around $800 and they told me it doesn't even cost half that much. Turned out, I had a valve issue instead and it was only going to be around a few hundred. This place is honest, speedy and affordable. They even gave me a ride back home since my car was gonna be there overnight!! Very highly recommended!!

I had a loose collar on my oil which was just spraying oil on my transmission and could be fixed in 2 minutes. Huh ! And others wanted $650 to take apart my transmission. Then I offered a $20 tip for just inspecting the car and owner wouldn't take it until I insisted. THE MOST HONEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. Just looking at the parts they have there and their own tools and machines, you know you are at the specialist of specialist. If I ever truly had a transmission problem, I'd be back there in a flash.

I came in to Arrow Transmission Services to have a noisy exhaust looked at. I was greeted and helped as soon as I came in the door. Within 15 minutes they had my car in and they were inspecting it. Everyone here has been extremely nice and have kept me in the loop with what has been going on during the repair. I am definitely satisfied with the service I received here.

My car didn't start so I took it to Arrow Transmission Service. Right away when they try to ignite my car, they know what was the problem. He told me it was my pgmi relay had gone bad. He had one in stock and got it fix. Unbelievable, I thought my starter had gone bad. Thanks for the help.

I had found out by my son who was away at college that his car needed a transmission due to reverse gear was slipping. We had put a rebuild transmission by AAMCO in this same car, 37 months and 21,000 miles ago. Thanks to these men who installed another transmission . Labor costs were cut by them working around the clock to have the car ready for him to take back to college in a timely matter.
