Sadly very similar experience to others who have recently reviewed. I never got a Dr follow up to schedule appointments review my results from a CTScan with contrast procedure so when I called asking for my medical records they said to request by the link they'll email to me I verified it was the correct email address but never got anything and have called the office multiple times since then with no response and it's been exactly 1 year ago since the CTScan! I filled out my new Dr's Medical Release Consent form to get the imaging results from GCFM and they haven't received them yet. Seriously you guys?? What's wrong how are you rated A+ I don't agree I'd give you a D+

About 3 weeks ago I had a small, circular bald patch form on the left side of my head due to a lot of stress at work. I had 2 barbers tell me that it was Alopecia Areata and was quite normal for people in my profession. I then Googled it and it was text book Alopecia Areata, so I decided to go to the doctor to get a Cortisone shot to grow my hair back. I scheduled an appointment at Gilbert Center for Family Medicine on Tuesday June 6th and put it on my calendar after verifying the date while still on the phone. I showed up on the 6th and they advised that my appointment was on the 5th and had been cancelled due to a no show. This was my first red flag.

They were able to reschedule me for the next day and I came in again on the 7th. The appointment was to get a Cortisone shot for Alopecia Areata. They charged me $75 for the appointment, which they said was beside my insurance, but the co-pay would be taken out of it. When I saw the doctor (Jeff) he advised that it wasn’t fungal or anything else, but he could not diagnose me with Alopecia Areata without a bunch of lab tests. This kind of boggled me because I knew for sure what it was and didn’t need a doctor to tell me. He then told me that he could treat it in house if he knew what it was, but I had to go to a dermatologist to make sure. $75 and an hour of my time to be told to go away empty handed.

I scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist and they took one look at it and verified my assessment (without any tests at all) and gave me a shot. My hair has now grown back and all is well.

Today I got another bill in the mail from Gilbert Center for Family Medicine in the amount of $22.10. I was surprised since they said my co-pay would be taken out of the $75 cash I gave them, but they had already lied to me twice, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised they did it a third time. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They lied to me 3 times, cost me $100 for absolutely nothing, and wasted my time.

I was a patient of Dr. Wolfe's for 30 years, and moved with her every move. When she retired from Gilbert Center, the service turned poor, no answers on email system, and no call backs. Still waiting for one for 4 days now. We are going to look around for better service. The girls on front desk are more interested in who is dating who than who the customers are and who they need to see.

I had a really bad experience at Gilbert Center for Family Medicine. I was asked if I was fasting I said "no". Apparently, they marked the forms as "yes" and were in a panic when my results came back. I would expect staff to be much more careful and pay more attention in such a situation. Also, their front desk staff act like high school students playing a game. Our family won't be going back to this place!

I have been going here for years and ever since they moved to a new building, the service has steadily gone down hill. I called to make an appointment and was on hod for 12 minutes before I was able to speak to someone and they answered the phone asking me to hold? Again? The receptionist, Tonya, was unprofessional and rude. When I entered, she told me to sign in and have a seat. Ten minutes later and still not checked in, another patient came in, went to the desk, and was immediately checked in! When I was finally called, I asked to speak to the office manager. I was explaining to Tonya what my concern was and she ignored me and asked the person behind me to check in. I walked out of their office and went to Urgent Care. Gilbert Family Medicine has horrible customer service and my family will be going elsewhere for care

WOW, since Dr. Jeanne Wolfe left this place it has really hit rock bottom. It's a real shame. Seems like it's like run by several immature high school students. The management must be desperate to save money. It's no wonder Dr. Wolfe left. Obviously, our family is in the process of going elsewhere. Good luck, you're going to need it especially if you go to this place!!!

These are all old reviews - with in the last year this place has gone to Hell-in-a-handbasket. I've seen the doctors there for over 15 years, but after today I will never use their medical services again! I'm not happy at all with the medical care nor the service I have received there over the last 10 months. I urge you to seek another provider.

I would never go to another doctor again. Dr. Schlotterback is the best doctor Ive ever been too. He properly diagnoised a condition Ive had for 15 years that has gone untreated. Finally, relief! His staff is professional and courtious. I love their online system- you can email your doctor, request appts, med refills, all from your computer! My whole family and extended family goes here now!

Wow! I used this site just to get the address and was amazed at the two reviews written here! I have live in Gilbert and have used GCFM since 1987. I am an RN by profession. I have only great things to say about Jeanne Wolfe MD and Mark Schlotterback MD. Their ancillary staff are quite wonderful, too. Their NP's are not only knowledgeable, they are truly compassionate. I would highly recommend this group to anyone who is looking for a PCP - and I have in the past!
