Wonderful Destination

Those who go to Gettysburg for the Civil War might tend to over look this place, but that's their mistake. Cafe St Armand is by far the best resturant in Gettysburg. Breakfast, lunch or dinner the food is great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Food presentation is beautiful and worthy of far more expensive establishments. A real treat.

Cafe St. Amand

I have eaten at 'Cafe St. Amand' 5 times now and every time it just gets better! There were between 6-12 in our party each time and care was taken to make sure our eating experience was full of flavour, flair and authentically French!!

Quel trésor !

We happened upon CSA on a little road trip and have now made it a destination! We enjoyed brunch one Sunday morning, returned with friends to sample the dinner menu before the week was through, and since drive about an hour whenever we both want a nice meal that we know we'll enjoy. How do you say "yummy" in french?

Hopefull restaurant

We have breakfast at cafe saint amand (almost) every Saturday. The food is outstanding, and our waitress, Hope, is attentive and takes good care of us.A minor complaint:: the restaurant is supposed to open at 7:30 but sometimes open late. Not a problem now, but in January and February...

Great Change of Pace

The Cafe Saint-Amand serves great food which is both delicious and unlike that offered elsewhere in Gettysburg. The staff is very friendly, and the chef highly skilled. Soups have a velvety texture and are bursting with flavor. Do not miss the Monte Cristo sandwich for lunch nor the delicious omelets and croissants for breakfast.

Expect to find delectable specials when you visit. Recent hits were an evening of elegant dining (Coquelle Saint-Jacques, Coq Au Vin, etc) on Valentines Day, and surprise Irish fare for St Patrick's Day this past Tuesday (featuring the best Irish lamb stew, and corned beef and cabbage that I have tasted anywhere).

Do not miss this restaurant on your next visit to Gettysburg!

Just what Gettysburg has been waiting for. I can not say enough positive comments about the newly opened Cafe Saint-Amand located on the corner of Middle and Baltimore Streets at 48 Baltimore St, the cafe is easily accessible by car or foot. What a change of pace and element of style and elegance Cafe Saint-Amand has brought to downtown Gettysburg. When entering the Cafe one is instantly transported (or reminded for those of you who have been fortunate enough to visit the real deal) of an authentic French Cafe. The staff are friendly and warm and are always happy to engage in conversation when time allows. Saint Amand has found the perfect combination between American and French cuisine. The cafe is fairly small and gets extremely busy on the weekends, so either make a reservation or be prepared to wait. Every dish is made to order, so their food is always fresh.

This is the perfect atmosphere to share a romantic breakfast with a significant other or catch up with a good friend over a cup of their outstanding house blend coffee. Not to mention their delicious crepes and fresh baked croissants. Be sure not to miss out on the Croque Monsuier, which is always fun to try to pronounce and equally as fun for the staff to translate to meaning of. Another excellent choice is the ever so popular French Dip. The price is excellent for the amount of food you will receive. Each sandwich is served with a side dish. It is hard to imagine, but somehow they always manage to serve ripe fruit. I'm not sure how they manage this in the middle of winter, but somehow they make it possible!
