We've been going here for years, but service and quality has gone down considerably in the last year, but today was our last visit. My husband and I both ordered a regular roast combo with a side salad. We generally order the same thing, and in the past that has been a sandwich, fries or baked potato, and a drink plus a one trip salad bowl for $1.00 more. Today, we got a sandwich, drink and a salad plate. $18 for our meals, and we were told it was a $1.00 more for our salads. We didn't realize until our food was ready that there were no fries or baked potato. The tomatoes on the bar were end pieces with the core and were orange. I asked for fresh tomatoes because they were orange and was told "Well, tomatoes ARE orange." We ate our lunch, but I didn't finish my salad, so asked for a "to go" container. I was told that I didn't order a "to go" salad, therefore it would cost a dollar extra. I explained that I was just needing a container to put the rest of my meal in. They replied that it would cost a dollar, or they could give me a paper bag! I left with an open salad plate stuffed in a paper bag. By the time I got home, the bag was wet, and I tossed the whole thing. We love a good roast beef sandwich, -- one of our first dates 33 years ago was at the Danver's on Winchester, and we followed you to Perkins, but we will NEVER return after today. If you're so hard up, you can't provide a "to go" container for left overs without charging a $1.00 then you need to close your doors. That is absurd.

I've been going to Danver's regularly for over 30 years when they were on Winchester, then followed them to Perkins. Today, I asked for a to go container for the rest of my salad today and they told me it would cost me a $1.00. They offered me a paper bag instead. By the time I got home, the uncovered salad had soaked through the bag, and I had to throw it out. They need to close their doors if they have resulted to charging for to go containers.

The service was really bad managr couldnt stay off phone employees very rude will not go back!!!!!
