In 1952, Mardee Kidd and Val Kidd opened a small food store in Lodi, Calif., which is today s Mar-Val Food Stores. The company has grown to four stores and over 200 employees. Its stores sell meat, seafood, fresh produce, groceries, and bakery and deli products. It also offers a range of gourmet and specialty foods, as well as party trays.
