I purchased a Silky Terrier there on Saturday 3/12/2016. The puppy was $1,400.00. On the way home we noticed the puppy had a very runny nose and a cough. After calling the pet store, Jim Long said to take him to the vet and they would take care of it. This was Saturday evening. By Monday morning when our vet opened, the puppy began coughing more. The vet gave him antibiotics. He didn't respond so we took him back within 2 days. The vet did X-rays. The puppy had terrible pneumonia, 30%+ of the lung was socked in by pus. The vet spoke with the people at LPOE but they were in denial. Those "caring" animal loving people we had met days before disappeared with that extra grand I had to pay for vet bills to save my sick puppy. Long story short, they sold us a sick puppy and they know and and won't make it right. They are a true piece of crap, plain and simple. We are fortunate that our barely 3lb baby has survived this so far. They never even cared enough to check on him.

Waste of money!

I just moved here from florida. Every groomer i used in florida brings my dog to me 1st then i pay and leave. However, that is not how they operate here. I had cash in my hand waiting for them to bring out my dog so i could look at the hair cut but, the owner treated me like i was a theif. Refused to bring my dog out until after i paid. After i paid they brought her out & her hair cut looked like they tried to copy a picture it didnt look professional &they didnt even cut much off. This was not even a month ago and my dog already needs to be groomed again. What a waste of money that was! Then i asked if i could borrow a lease to walk her bc she was going crazy about to go in the store. Clearly she had not been able to go potty since i left her bc when we opened the door to let her go she went right outside the shop door! The guy escorted us out and help the lease. Would not allow me to hold the $5 lease. I will never go back there again! I will never be treated like a theif at a dog geoomer again! Oh & theyre puppies they sell come from puppy mills & people have complained theyre pets have died only weeks after they bring them home. The owner does nothing but, sits back and collects!

GREAT STORE. There are not man...

GREAT STORE. There are not many family owned pet stores anymore and I can see why this one has been around for 20 years. The staff is curtious and knowledgable. The store is always clean when I go in there. I have 2 dogs from there and they were vaccinated properly when I got them. They were recommended from my vet. I also use their Natural Balance dog food and it has done good for my schnauzers skin allergies. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM

Three weeks before Christmas m...

Three weeks before Christmas my wife and I purchased a very small mini schnauzer. The sales people were very helpfull, although we didn't know anything about the breed, it was very tiny, 1.9 lbs and we thought that was normal at 10 weeks given it was a miniature. The first week, she was fine, she ate normally, played a little and slept allot. Since she was 10 weeks and she had all her shot except the last round, we didn't take her to our vet right away. The end of the second week she became non respondant and wouldn't move very much. We took her to the vet immediately and they were going to give her fluids and keep her overnight. She died in 5 hours. The vet completed a nycropsy and was discovered that she had liver shunts and that was the cause of death. I called the store and advised them, and the first thing out of the managers mouth was did you take it to the vet within the first week and we did not. I explained to the manager that she was fine the first week and since she was already up to date on her shots, we waited, which was our mistake. While this was transpiring, the manager was very difficult to contact, the store appeared to be playing games. After I contacted the manager, he asked for a copy of the nycropsy, which became another game with the store. My vet faxed it 4 times and each time they said they didn't receive it. Finally I drove back to the store to confront the manager and when I told him who I was he finally confirmed they received the fax! The store stated that the breeder was located in MO, which is known to be a puppy mill state, but insisted they were not from a puppy mill. The manager stated he did call the breeder who was having health problems and his response would be delayed. The manager also stated that the nycropsy need to be cleared. This entire experience has been very dishartening, not only did our pet die, the store was non caring or willing to do anything. We paid somwhere around 600 for the puppy, the vet bill was about 600 and to get the puppy cremated was 250. Be very cautious about purchasing a pet at this store. Since then we went to a local breeder for mina schnauzers and were amazed at the size they were supposed to be, we purchased on that looked just like Hidi, our puppy that died, it weighed 4lbs at 8 weeks and is doing great - her name is Bella - Hidi... If anyone else has a story like this from this store please let me know, i have contacted and attorney and it seems that their contracts of taking the puppies to the vet within one week doesn't cover congenitial defects.. my email is [email protected]

Nice Store

I went here to look for a new pet. I look around the store until I found what I was looking for. I then started to ask a lot of question about the pet i was going to buy. I ask a couple of the store employees about the pet they told about the same things about the pet. They gave me all the information I needed to make up my mine about the pet I was going to buy so I took it home with me that day. The pet was a white ferret.

TERRIBLE!!!

I went here and got my 2 new pet rats and it was terrible. First thing that went wrong was the second day I got them, they both had mites! Mites! had to pay a LOT of money for them to be treated. The medication they needed cost a LOT! They also said that corn cob bedding is okay to use! I learned on the internet that it is the worst bedding for small animals. Another bad thing is they keep the males and females together. Rats can start having babies at 5 weeks old, so I bet most of the females are pregnant. Also, some of their items are really pricey. Also, I think it is the owner, acts like he does not care about any of his customers nor his animals. If you want pets of any sort get them at a Animal Shelter or PetSmart to ask about the bedding rats can use and they were REALLY helpful. They care about their animals there. If anybody tells you this store is good, don't listen. Trust me!

Awful!

I bought I rat and took her home and we found out that she was sick. She was sneezing a lot.

She had a serious upper respiratory disease that is incurable and very contageous. Also, they didn't even seem to care about there animals. There thing was she was a feeder rat and she was just going to get fed to another animal.

They use corncob bedding! Everything says on the internet that concob bedding is not saf to any small animals, because the animal can joke on it and it molds when gotten wet. So do not listen to them when they say they have used it for so many years and they have never had a problem. I would reccomend you not to go to this terrible pet store.

I Have bought a total of three animal from there. I'm happy to say that every animal i have gotten there has been healthy and just a plan wonderful addition to my family! I bought a Chihuahua there and the only problem i had was that they told us he would be around 4-6 pounds but he weights 20 lbs...haha I sill love that dog to death! I've had him for 6 years! The first animal i bought there was also a dog and is a Pekingese. He is 7 years old and they said he would be a little grumpy and mean but they couldn't be more wrong! The last animal i bought there was a rabbit and again they gave me false information saying she was going to be a floppy eared rabbit but was not but it still did not bother me at all. She was the most beautiful bunny anyone could ever see. I had her for 3 great years and she died in June. I am still trying to recover from the loss because how great she was. I would recommend this shop for anyone but the only problem is they are pricey!

I like the store

I have actually taken my bird to this store to be cared for while I was on vacation. His cage was clean when I picked him up and seemed to really enjoy his visit.

They do carry a wide range of Pet items including fresh bird food. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the store does seem over-crowded in areas.
