Ayers performs a diagnosis by looking up the problem on the internet. They did not troubleshoot my cook top.



Diagnosis consisted of asking me the problem and then looking up the problem on the internet.



If you can search the internet, you can save their $79.95 service fee. The parts are at least 25% less on the internet.



You can also save the $200 repair fee.



As a benefit of the diagnosis is abuse from the technician. Imagine a repair person coming into to your own home and abusing you.



The reason I did give him two stairs, is that one of the two parts repaired the problem. The other part was not needed.



But he did say he had over 10 years of experience.

My rating is based entirely on the outrageous cost of labor and parts through this company. I had a technician come out today to look at our dryer becuase it stopped producing heat. Right off the bat it cost $80 just for the tech to come out, but I was warned by friends that it would cost anywhere between $50-100. Turns out the heating element needs to be replaced. This is about a $30 part that they are charging $80 for! In addition to that, the labor is a flat rate of $189 and there are other expenses that brought the estimate to $282 in adittion to the $80 diagnostic fee. So, total would be roughly $360 to replace a $30 part that would probably take the tech less than an hour to complete. I can literally buy a new dryer for that price. Like I said, poor rating based entirely on outrageous prices. Customer service was friendly and responsive as was the tech.
