Why CAG Lumber? WE SELL BY THE NET NOT THE GROSS! What that means is that if you buy 100 board feet, you take home 100 board feet. This is not standard lumberyard practice where you typically purchase 100 board feet and take home 80 after planing, straight-lining, and drying. CAG Lumber has been a family owned and operated endeavor since 1999. We have a passion for what we do and take pride in treating you as family not just a customer. We are also a GREEN ORGANIZATION. We began as a small lumbermill catering to a few families and friends but we've grown over the years to become a specialty supplier not only regional fine woodworkers but also nationally recognized artists and craftsmen. Our success over the years has been as a result of one-on-one personalized service provided as well as the extensive network of friends within the lumber milling community. What makes us unique among wood suppliers is the fact that we are small enough to be able to spend the time with our customers to either find the perfect piece of wood for their projects from our existing supply, or provide custom milling services for a tree that may have been on the family property for many generations that has fallen and is ready to begin a new life as a piece of heirloom furniture. On any given day, our yard is bustling with activity - from a trucker stopping by looking for new flooring for his trailer - to an individual dreaming of building his own home complete with reclaimed heart pine flooring - to a Highway Patrolman grabbing a cup of coffee and walking among the stacks of domestic and exotic lumbers we stock - or a group of woodturners come buy to admire what we have available and dream of their next project.. The phone rings throughout the day. Sometimes its a call from a flutemaker in Idaho searching for the perfect rosewood burls for his nationally renouned creations or a simply a person visiting the area who has heard about us and the personalized service we provide. A visit to CAG Lumber is fun, enjoyable, and most certainly an ed
