High quality work, Attention to detail, we have painted a few houses for this company, they are professional and skilled.

It was great to work with Trent and his crew at Sun West Construction. We remodeled our living room with a gas log fireplace and some cabinetry. Very good communication and completed the job in a very timely manner. Trent helped with the design and the work was well done. We are very pleased with the project and appearance. He also was respectful to our home and keeping things clean while under construction. Great guy, he made friends with our dogs and paid them special attention too.

Sun West Construction, Inc., a company that carries the 'Standard of Excellence' in their workmanship, as well as their day -to -day demeanor.

My husband and I contracted a job that was going to take approximately 2 weeks when in fact it ended up being closer to three months. It was mold, not only on one wall but on the entire backside of our home, from the floor to the roof!! Everywhere Trent opened another wall...there was mold! Yes, there were many unbelievable sighs and shaking of heads.

Trent was always the professional, making good decisions on how to proceed and digging in to complete this shocking task. I comment Trent and Brian for their steadfast hard work during the hottest of summer days. Trent fixed unforeseen electrical problems, saved us money doing much of the work themselves, and still managed to keep a sense of humor. Thank you Trent for your diligence and consistent 'Standard of Excellence' from day one.

And, thank you sincerely from the both of us as we feel secure and protected with our new walls!!

Trent and his crew did an excellent job remodeling our home. They installed hardwood floors, granite countertops, tiled the bathrooms, moved our washer and dryer from a nook to a spare bathroom, and redid the baseboards. All of the crew Trent hired were professional, polite and did the work in a timely manner. Trent kept in constant contact with us throughout the entire process and all issues were dealt with quickly and to our entire satisfaction. We would not hesitate to work with Sun West Construction again.

I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job than Trent did with our bathroom ADA renovation and our kitchen upgrades (granite countertops and new sink.)
Included tearing out a wall and rebuilding it, removing and creating a walk-in shower, adding a built-in cabinet, adding a pocket door, replumbing, etc. It is beautiful and functional. Trent had everything covered and the subcontractors were highly skilled and fun to work with. Trent is a gem. Hire him. You will not regret it!

After several attempts (5) to hire a contractor that would actually show up and NOT rip me off I was at my wits end. I began to think that being an older woman with mobility issues had turned me into an easy "mark". I was at a very low point. I literally thought my home repairs and updates were not going to be possible when I came across Sun West Construction. Not only did Trent Mandeville listen to the list of my needs he was willing to install my egress windows with materials I wanted. Everything was done professionally and on time with an excellent attitude by him and his sub contractors. This being said it's not the reason I feel Sun West Construction is above the rest. Several months after completing the egress windows, removing crumbling cement steps ; building new steps, installing a new hot water heater, repairing plumbing lines/valves and replacing the heating system I had a major pipe burst (12-6-15). The flood of water was unbelievable. It was a Sunday evening and after turning the water off at the main I called Sun West Construction leaving a message asking that I get a call as soon as possible. I didn't expect a call back that night as it was Sunday. To my surprise Trent Mandeville the owner did call back with in an hour. I was very upset and pretty much ranting about one more disaster even though it had nothing to do with the work his company had done. I was stressed and upset to say the least. Mr. Mandeville allowed me to vent and carry on without any sign of irritation. In fact he told me he and his plumber would come the next morning even though he was on another job. Not only did they show up they repaired the pipe immediately, discovered an electrical hazard next to the pipe (it is an old house) and had an electrician come and correct that problem too! Even beyond this they discounted everything to well under $400!!! I stress again the problem had nothing to do with the work that had been done several months earlier. Sun West Construction/Trent Mandeville not only deserve a customer service award if it were in my control Saint-hood or at least knighting would be in order too. Sincerely, Roxanne

Trent was and continues to be a joy to work with!! He is very detail oriented and has great input as to why 'my' design may not be to 'my' advantage! He knows his subcontractors have the same work ethics as he does, which include reliability, responsibility, promptness, knowledge and clean job sites.He remodeled our kitchen and did way more than we were originally asking for. Everything is beautiful!He is now working on converting a cluttered storage area into our "50's' room. French doors, new window, sheetrock, siding etc. all have been completed with quality and promptness above and beyond any other contractor we have ever used!

Sun West Construction not only completed my project in a timely manner, it was high quality work, as well. Sun West's owner, Trent, is detail oriented and it showed in every aspect of my kitchen remodel; including his project management and communication skills, as well as his trade skills. All of the subcontractors are conscientious with their work and are friendly, to boot. Sun West's work is AMAZING and you'd be hard pressed to find better. The finished product at my house exceeded my expectations.

Trent is just the best guy. He spent an entire Sunday building temporary support beams for my home's foundation. He just finished fixing it permanently and I am confident my home is more stable then ever. He is honest, talented, confident, and he has a great sense of humor. He has remodeled a bathroom and built a front deck as well. There is no question I will continue using Trent for all of my remodel or home repair needs.

Trent is a great contractor. Working with him was completely stress free. He handled all the changes we had during construction with ease and at a reasonable cost. His plumber, Joe and electrician, Paul are real professionals. The best I have seen in the valley. The job was completed in the time Trent said it would take and the kitchen is amazing. If you want a skilled carpenter and contractor with an easy going attitude; Trent is the one to call ( Sun West Construction). I highly recommend him and will only call Trent for any future jobs.

We are out of town owners of a rental property in Grand Junction that needed lots of repairs. We chose Sun West Construction and are very glad that we did. Trent did a great job. He is very easy to work with, responsive, knowledgeable and has great sub-contractors. We will definitely use him again.

Working with Trent at Sun west construction was great. Not only did he have great ideas he and his crew were professional, nice and their work turned out beautiful.

Trent and Jimmy at Sun West Construction delivered above and beyond what they promised. Always showed up when they said they would and finished when they said they would. Their craftsmanship was exceptional. The guys putting in the granite counter top were amazed at the precision of the cabinet installation as they did not even have to shim to level it. All the doors, drawers and reveals function perfectly and look great even after the modifications I wanted! I would highly recommend Sun West Construction for any job, big or small!

First, it was great to have a contractor who returned phone calls, did what he said he would do, and whose standard for work quality carries over to subcontractors. Second, as we aren't yet full time in GJ it was nice to have someone trustworthy on the other end while we were away. We remodeled much of an historic home in Grand Junction's 7th Street Historic District. I wanted to do some of the work myself but knew when to say when. Trent, with Sun West, was great about working with me on what each of us would do. For his part he replaced a load bearing wall with LVL beams, installed 3 windows and an outside door, coordinated with a structural engineer, arranged for the permit, installed proper load-transmitting posts in the basement and arranged for a top-notch plumber and electrician. The remodel (as usual) expanded as items were uncovered during demolition so the bathroom above the kitchen became part of the project. Trent did the necessary carpentry then had high quality contract shower enclosure and sheetrockers do their things. All was done while preserving architectural features of the house. Trent coordinated with me on what I wanted to do and this went seamlessly. He helped me save money by pointing out things I could manage which might otherwise cost much. Pleased with the kitchen and bath outcomes we used Sun West to general contract roof replacement of both sloped and flat roofs on the 90 year old house. While this was contracted to a very good roofer, Trent installed a new evaporative cooler on the roof, requiring the carpentry for appropriate weight support and ducting. While doing so he pointed out a way to run a duct to the lower floor, which we'd resigned ourselves to not having because of the old home construction. It worked slick and we now have a full AC system which also allows the charm of the house to remain intact. There is little doubt that we will use Sun West again, as we already have other plans, and won't hesitate to recommend Trent to anyone asking who did our remodeling work!

Once again Trent and Jimmy did an amazing job replacing some siding and installing new French patio doors. This is the 3rd time we've used Sun West for projects and we consider Trent a friend and person we can trust. He's always kind and courteous and shows up when he says he will or he'll call if something changes. We highly recommend Sun West and we continue to refer our family and friends to him.

Trent and his team did an amazing job with our water damage repairs. One involved a kitchen floor and another a leak with the roof and the back door. They completed the work very timely and professionally! Unfortunately, we are moving away from the area, and will not have the assurance of such a great general contractor in our new home; however, Sun West will be the company that we recommend to all of our family and friends still in the Grand Junction area. You will not be disappointed with this company!

Trent did a great job at a reasonable price. After the job turned out to be bigger than expected he still had it done before schedule with very little extra cost. I would recommend him to anyone.

I was looking for someone who would be able to remove my old carpet and install laminant flooring in my townhome that would be honest, trustworthy, timely and with quality workmanship. Trent has done several remodel projects for my parents and I loved the remodel and work he did in their home. Trent was so knowledgeable and patient with me as I went through the selection process; he pointed out areas of concern and educated me in areas that I never considered. Once selection of the flooring was done; Trent' scheduling and completion of this project was on time. He and his crew of one did a most excellent job in the installation and finishiing of my floor. I love, love, love my new floor! The workmanship is superb and Trent is such a joy to work with! I highly recommend Trent and Sun West for any project big or small. I know that he gives 100% and if something doesn't look right, he'll makes sure in the end that it's perfect!

We recently had Trent Mandenville install granite counter tops in our kitchen. He is very efficient and works in a timely manner. He has done quite a few jobs for us and always have done excellent work. He is always very prompt and finishes the job on schedule. We always know when he finishes a job it will be to our complete satisfaction.
