I wanted to like you, dawg

I feel like Randy Jackson reviewing the 5SPC. I wanted to like you, dawg, I really did, but it wasn't happening for me.

I have been twice to the cafe. The first time was, meh. The food was ok, nothing special, a little expensive compared to other similar restaurants, but fine cafe food.

The second time, they made multiple mistakes on our order, and our waitress actually gave our food to another table. I heard the other table talking about getting food they hadn't ordered. For whatever reason, that didn't stop them from digging in. By the time the waitress figured out what had happened, they had to make our food over again. The sad thing was that no apology was offered.

Two things I really like about the cafe is their decor and location. The outside is a cape cod style building, with cute siding. The inside is light and bright, and they have large flat panel tvs playing the Food Network, or at least they did when I was there. I loved that. Also, downtown Frisco has nothing like the cafe at all, so its really nice to have something different in the area.

An Awesome Small Town Original

In the era of big chain restaurants, it would be a shame to miss the opportunity to eat at the Fifth Street Cafe. My wife and I enjoy eating there. The menu has a wide variety of food and the service is very attentive. The Cafe has a small town feel but a lighter, more metropolitan selection of dishes. Try the fish tacos!
