Racist Business

This place really SUCKS! Recently, me and a friend went to this apple farm to purchase some apple products

and got the shock of our lifetime when we notice a police officer following us around the store. Me and my friend have

never had any trouble with the law and I hold an MBA and work for the Federal Courts. After buying our items and gettin in our car to leave, a police officer approached our car and told us the stored called to report " 2 suspicious looking black guys" in the store( of course we were the only two African Americans in the store). We had to show IDs and answer questions. No one from the store offered an apology or tried to clear things up.

This so-called apple farm didn't even have apple butter (what apple farm doesn't have apple butter??) This place has a poor variety and is extremely racist. I guess me and my friend missed the "BLACKS NOT WELCOMED" sign. I guess it was posted next to the colored drinking fountain or the whites only restroom. There are much better apple farms in Michigan than this one.

Tour of the Farm

I went there with my son's class. They took a field trip to Bayne's apple farm and it was a wonderful experience. The guide was great with the kids (60 of them!). She played a game, showed them an apple tree and explained the parts, showed how cider was made with the machines, showed how apples were sorted and washed, and lastly everyone got to enjoy a glass of cider and a delicious doughnut. They also have a play area for the kids.

I recommend going there!

Racist Business

Me and a friend went to this place to buy some apple products and see the cider mill. 15min into our visit, we notice the

local police following us around the store. At first we didn't think much of it, we are both law-obeying college students with no criminal histories. After we bought our items we were approached by 3 police officers and told that the store's manager called to report "two suspicious looking black guys" in the store(we were the only African Americans in the store). We had to show IDs and answer questions. One of the police offers later told us that the call to the store was unnecessary.

Needless to say, we were highly offended by this. No one from the store offered an apology or tried to clear things up. I guess the sign telling us blacks not allowed was posted next to the "colored" drinking fountain or the "Whites only" restroom. Don't waste your time and money with this racist business.

Poor variety

This place really SUCKS! I went to Bayne's Apple Valley Farm and was disappoint by the limited selection of products. This Apple "farm" didn't even have apple butter. How does a Apple Farm not have Apple Butter???

There are plenty of better Apple Orchards to visit. Don't waste your money or time at this place

Bayne's Apple Vally Farm

Bayne's has the most wonderful baked items available. Their pies, doughnuts and bread are exceptional.
