Prakhar Agarwal, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Radiology at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Agarwal?s clinical focus is in interventional oncology, dialysis access interventions, venous access, biopsies, fluid drainage, and venous thrombectomy/pulmonary embolism interventions.After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and community health from Tufts University in 2009, Dr. Agarwal continued at the institution?s School of Medicine to earn his Doctor of Medicine in 2013. He started his postdoctoral training the same year at Metrowest Medical Center with a transitional year internship. He then came to Montefiore Medical Center, completing a residency in diagnostic radiology in 2018 followed by a fellowship in vascular interventional radiology in 2019.Dr. Agarwal?s research focuses on pulmonary embolism and interventional oncology. He has shared his research in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and poster presentations.In 2018, Dr. Agarwal received the Leo M. Davidoff award for excellence in medical student teaching.
