Provided by YP.comWent there following knee replacement surgery. Things went well for about a week. Then I started feeling bad, extreme fatigue, finally chest pains. The nurse said my chest pains were due to sore muscles, ignoring the risk of blood clots post-surgery. A respiratory tech claimed I was fine. Next day, when I complained of chest pains, extreme fatigue, problems breathing, and dizziness, the OT told me I was basically lazy. Later, they made me push myself in the wheelchair back to my room even though I was having chest pains, abdominal pains and shortness of breath. That afternoon, the physical therapist knew I was having trouble breathing & dizziness but urged me to try harder. Finally, with crushing chest pain, excessive sweating and unable to breathe, I collapsed from a pulmonary embolism and went into cardiac arrest. They should have known the risks of blood clots and pulmonary embolism and treated me at the first sign of chest pain. I continue to suffer due to their negligence.
