Following a wave of hail storms this past Spring, my wife and I were in desperate need of a new roof, along with gutters, on our first home.

One phone call to Lon Smith and all of our anxiety about roofers was quelled. We scheduled a meeting with the salesman, who arrived two minutes early... a great foreshadowing of the overall experience! After spending only 20mins surveying our property, the salesman then spent nearly an hour working through the process with us... as was our first time to replace a roof, we had a LOT of questions - none too much for the salesman, including a discussion of modifying the new installation to better suit our needs going forward.

When the time came for install, we received a phone call a few days in advance to a) confirm scheduled install, b) review preparation requirements, and c) confirm remaining steps of process. The roof installation was completed in one day, including clean up. Truly, I was only able to find one nail on the ground afterwards... very encouraging as we have a daughter and a puppy that could be prone to stepping on them.

The gutter installation would be the only area in which I could offer any negative regarding the experience... that said, Lon Smith made clear that they are not directly responsible for this portion, as they contract the work to be completed. While the gutters were installed to satisfaction, we were surprised that the installers simply showed up, unannounced, a few days after the roof install. Furthermore, they did not complete the job initially, leaving one downspout unmounted. Needless to say, Lon Smith's Inspector was sure to follow up and get this resolved within 72hrs.

Overall, I must say the experience was the best one could hope for... one initial phone call, one face to face meeting, and two weeks later the job was complete, and we are VERY satisfied.

Lon Smith Roofing is an outstanding roofer! They did a great job on the estimate. We got free upgrades. The job was completed in one day! The workers did a wonderful job with clean-up. The final price was less than what the insurance company gave us.

Lon Smith replaced our roof and installed gutters all the way around the house. I received quotes from 10 different roofing contractors. Lon Smith was not the cheapest, but was clearly the most professional. I had confidence that they would get the job done and back up their work. Estimator Clayton Pippen and Inspector Billy Allen were particularly responsive and professional and were responsible for the job going so well.

Worked well with insurance company, no major issues. Minor issues with installation of metal roof were resolved promptly. Didn't always receive communication when individual contractors would be by; would use again.

Roofing job was well done with the only problem with nails on driveway and around the yard. Reasonably priced and finished in a timely manner.

I had a hail loss and roof needed to be replaced. Everyone with the company was professional, delivered as promised, on-time, no deviation from price quoted, worked well with the insurance company, follow-up was great, took care of permits and inspections. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We wanted to go with a reputable roofing company to have our new roof installed correctly the first time. Our sales person was excellent, very knowledgeable, and receptive to our questions and concerns. Because of Lon Smith’s 100% Workmanship Satisfaction Guarantee, we felt assured we were making the right choice by going with Lon Smith. However, the roof ridge vent was not installed per our contract, the stacks were painted in the wrong color, flashing was poorly installed around our chimney, and trim from our siding in one area was not installed back properly. They left a coil of roofing nails flung around my power lines, nails on my lawn, and the crew laid out their tools and equipment in my neighbor’s yard which they did not appreciate at all. In the end, working with LSR Inspector was wonderful. He made sure to get the crew back out to our home and addressed all our issues and inspected all work to make sure it was done per LSR standards. The only annoyance was having to complain because the installation wasn’t done right the first time as I had hoped for!

Lon Smith Roofing was there for us during the entire process of getting the roof inspected by State Farm and getting the highest value for our roof. Crew was fantastic and cleaned up the yard and flower beds after a long, hot day on the roof. The billing ladies helped me understand what my portion of payment was and worked a payment plan with me. I will definitely use Lon Smith Roofing in the future.

Our home suffered hail damage and required a new roof. We had had a very negative experience with a roofing company in the past ( Not Lon Smith) and were a bit concerned. Mat Peterson from Lon Smith Roofing was wonderful and a true professional. He answered our questions and did not try to oversell us. His crew was also totally professional. They arrived on time, were respectful of us and our property, cleaned up daily after themselves, and frequently inquired about our satisfaction. They did an incredible job and we have been happy to refer our neighbors to them.

Our experience with Lon Smith Roofing was excellent! Garrett, the salesperson was knowledgeable, professional and willing to answer our plethora of questions. The Crew, GUE09, was a few days late, but they worked diligently and though they attempted to cause no additional damage, they did. That said - Garrett, David, and Ben immediately responded and made arrangements for the repairs. Excellent roofing products (Class 4 shingles/impact resistant caps). Excellent service. Hard working crew. 95% of debris was cleaned up (and we had much of it!) They have an excellent reputation and they work diligently to maintain it! I appreciated that they were NOT one of the 100's knocking on doors after the hailstorm - those companies seemed very "fly-by-night" and such pests! Not Lon Smith - true professional roofing company in every contact we have had with them!

Lon Smith Roofing just finished installing my new 25 year shingles and vented ridges, they look amazing! I was referred to Lon Smith Roofing by a close friend who is an experienced insurance adjuster. He told me that they do not cut corners, complete the work as scheduled, and deal directly with the insurance company. My sales person informed me about category 4 impact resistant shingles that will not only hold up against the Texas hail but, reduce my homeowner's insurance premium by 20% per year. My home was re-roofed in a single day, clean up was completed, and the inspection was performed the following day. The entire process - sales, work, and billing was completed both professionally and timely.
