The worst workers on earth constant screw ups that they know they cause and do nothing to fix until they're confronted. Over 2 months behind on construction. Countless number of repairs. Rude and dishonest management.

Beware of Granite Ridge!! They cut corners and do not fix issues that are clearly their fault. We moved in December of 2013 and I still am so disappointed with their quality.
When we first built with them, they tried to sell us property in Perry Lake which they have no business selling. The land is not suitable for building. We had a soil test done and was told the dirt was not fit to be built on. They pressured us to continue building on this property even though they knew it was not good. After 6 months of wasting our time on that bad property, we found a different piece of land and was forced to build with them because we had already signed a contract. They told us we were going to be a top priority. We were far from being a priority. The whole building process was stressful for my husband who was always overseeing the project and calling to get things done in a timely fashion. If he wasn't on constantly we would not have finished on time.
The last straw is our lawn. It looks terrible! When we told them that the grass was not growing, they said it was because we did not water it. My husband bought 12 hoses and was watering the lawn at all hours of the day and night, They cut corners by not putting top soil down and using a very thin layer of straw and cheap seed. I have seen other lawns of Granite Ridge and have noticed that those lawns look equally bad. Looks like Granite Ridge has a pattern of poor quality and blaming the customer.
Also, the paint is cheap and when they come out to do the yearly check up, they said anything they paint won't match. That is ridiculous!
After the carpet and lament flooring was installed, I nearly cried because it was so thin and cheap. After speaking with our representative, I was reassured that they only use top quality. Then the concrete in the drive way cracks and they take no responsibility We asked that they fix it and they refused. My husband was then forced to scream and curse to get our concrete drive fixed. Also my husband caught them only installing one sump pump when we clearly paid and asked for two. Luckily my husband was there the day they were about to pour the basement to stop them since they did not have both pumps installed or we would be left with only one sump pump.
I could go on an one about how terrible and stressful the building process was with Granite Ridge. DO NOT BUILD WITH GRANITE RIDGE!

Not only is Granite Ridge Builders a great choice as a home builder but the kind and friendly staff take the time to make you feel comfortable and and important through the whole process!!! I would definitly recommend them to everyone I know!!!

We became just another number in the books after we signed our purchase agreement. If you are looking for a true custom home builder, please do your research! Look for a builder that will continue the relationship beyond your "signature on the dotted line".
