0 stars. This used to be a good restaurant but the only thing that is even close to the same is the weird salsa they serve. We just had the absolute worst experience with the manager there. I ordered the fajita burrito and the meat tasted gamey, like wild meat or close to spoiled. They said it was the marinade, but I can't think of any spice that would make meat taste bad like that. I couldn't eat it and told them about it when they asked if everything was OK. The manager finally came over and demonstrated the very worst customer service I have ever had. They tried to tell me that there was nothing wrong with the food and I was going to have to take it home with me. When I tried to explain she got argumentative with me, rolling her eyes, folding her arms, huffing her breath, and saying to me, "now are you going to let me talk?" I had done nothing except start to tell her what was wrong with the food and she is the one who cut me off mid-sentence. I was being nice about it until she became rude and condescending so I said no, she couldn't talk, just take the meal off the bill. She has the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen. They should have apologized right away and taken the meal off the bill. We will never go back there. The rest of the meal was not good either, very poor quality and taste. The manager tried to tell us she couldn't take it off the bill because they are a small company. They will be a non-existent company if they continue to serve bad food and treat customers they way they treated us. The service was slow too. Cebolla's could have made that meal 100% better and served it in about 5 minutes. Wow. I felt sorry for the waitress having to work for a manager like that!

I had been gone for a few years, and was excited to eat there again. Boy..its NOT the place I remembered. Service was horrible, food was burnt and not much of it. Don't get the Fajitas, you will NOT get your monies worth. Sorry Azteca but you've lost my business!

Local place, great food, great atmosphere, Chimi's that stack up against any other I've ever eaten, and it's my favorite Mexican/American item!

A local favorite of mine

El Azteca is a stable neighborhood favorite. It has a fun atmosphere and great margaritas. A friend has to stop in whenever she visits from Dallas, TX. It's that good. Very good chips and salsa and comfy lounge area.
