Zakes is primarily known as a dessert place, but it's actually a great cafe for breakfast and lunch. (It's open for dinner, but it's a bit overpriced for dinner.) The ambiance is warm, the food is light and delicious, and the staff is friendly. Understandably, the service can suffer a bit when it gets busy, but usually it is top-notch. My obligatory dessert recommendations are strawberry shortcake (great icing) and fruit tart.

Zake's has the best desserts - the cheesecake topped with fruit and white chocolate drizzle is to die for!Also, I'm a big fan of their Northern Italian Chicken, Pasta and Veggie dish in Balsamic Vinagrette. And their homemade German Potato Salad is fabulous too.
