This was the second time I hired Monster to remove trees from my property. Excellent work both times: punctual;friendly; professional. The front and back yards were left completely clean - no branches or debris. I will continue to use Monster for all of my tree/shrub maintenance.

I urge you to use another company as Monster has two big strikes against them:
1) They came to do the service and one of the crew RIPPED a wired light out of the ground (clearly not a solar light - no panel). It wasn't a casual action; he had to brace himself and yank. Severed the wires. The crew chief came to me and admitted the mistake and said he would report it.

The next I got an email from the office manager. "{…} a limb knocked over one of your garden lights. The crew said it looks as though the wire underground was already broken prior to our arrival." I was incensed.

Either the crew chief lied to the office manager or she lied to me. The house was on the market for sale, so you'd better believe everything was perfectly functioning.

2) I paid the deposit and after 3 weeks of very little rain, I had to chase them down and remind them to do the job. It was finally done OVER 4 weeks AFTER I paid the deposit.

There are more professional and honest companies out there. Seek them out.

This company flipped their crane truck ON TO / THROUGH a 2 story house with a family inside. They do not follow proper safety precautions or have the proper knowledge to do tree work. They are usually the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The owner, Josh Skolnick, is a typical salesman, promises you everything you want, but when a problem or issue arrises he disappears, especially if you already have paid him. Not a very good business to deal with if you're looking for a quality company, they just look to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting homeowners.

I hired Monster Tree Service to trim a number of trees and completely remove one of my trees. In the course of moving their equipment into and out of the driveway, they put a gouge in my driveway about 8 feet long, an inch deep and an inch wide. When first contacted, Josh Skolnick, President and owner, told me that they deal with these issues all of the time. They generally put some filler in the hole and that he would get out to look at it. After repeated phone calls and excuses about his driveway guy, he said that he'd get back to me within 48 hours, he fell off of the face of the earth and would not return phone calls. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau. In a response to the BBB, he indicated that he would repair the driveway. The repair was never made and he has not returned repeated phone calls.
