Forged all carbon Documents on moving estimates i never seen or signed. Bunch of crooks! They broke or damaged all my furniture the little i kept. Never weighed with a real weight. My possession were held hostage until i paid what they asked. It took them 24 days to deliver it. Total nightmare! Everything Every one has said is true. I didn't do a full on research other than the comments they send you to which are all full of BS phony- positive reviews. I will be filing for an arbitration. I won't give up on getting what is owed to me and take you out of business.

Duntara quoted us $4800 for our cross-country move, but raised the price over 61% to $7800 once all our belongings were on the truck on route. They never showed up on the drop-off date promised and never even called. We spent the next 3 weeks on the floor of our new home being given the run around.

The trailer, that holds several different loads, was rerouted several times and out in the heat wave for 21 days. When they arrived, there were several boxes and items “lost” (including new electronics, collectible crystal and family heirlooms). I find it hard to believe that our most valuable items were accidentally lost. Our furniture and other items were several heat damaged and several broken. They refused to pay even the minimum $0.60/lb in damages after making me waste more hours on all the paperwork. They were also nasty and condescending. Over a year later, they offered us less than 10% of our loss in order to get us to take down negative reviews. Even though we had nothing to gain by declining the meager couple of hundred they offered, it wasn’t worth having another family be so treated so poorly. Do not do business with Duntara Moving!

If you are moving boxes of lead I still wouldn't use these guys. Many items didn't show up or showed up broken. Boxes were transferred 3 times to different trucks. Boxes were upside down, sideways, some even on there corner. Items were literally thrown in the truck. I could go on but just don't use these people. They are a nightmare.

Nightmare company - BEWARE! W...

Nightmare company - BEWARE! We had the worst moving experience of our lives with Duntara. They tried to overcharge us based on a bogus weight calculation that I proved false when I required them to go to an actual weighing station. They damaged my apartment's exterior structure with the truck, and then claimed they weren't responsible, which cost me $1300 out of pocket. They were 2 weeks late delivering our contents. Customer service is a joke. Absolute disaster - avoid them like the plague!!!

Customer service team and Sales rep Angelo ROCK!!!

I hired a fraudulent company by the name of Executive Moving and Storage out of Las Vegas, They give low ball pricing and once your items are loaded your bill jumps up one thousand dollars, They argue and lie, make empty promises, Guaranteed my delivery and price, cost me a job, extra nights in hotels plus the cost of new clothes once I arrived at my new home in Atlanta GA....It has been 26 days, and I am still fighting with them,

Even though I did not hire Duntara out of Ft Lauderdale the original sales rep Angelo calls every other day or so just to check in on us,

Angelo Came in on his weekend off to help find me a truck ASAP as I was about to start a new high paying job, and He did... The problem was Me listening to the other company, who are liars. and give false prices until all of your stiff is locked on their truck, and then they take it to their warehouse for 14 days while they try to find a truck,

Do yourself a favor and save money and time and have a little peace of mind, make your move and know that when you get to your new home Duntara will be there waiting on you.

If every review you read tells the same story...it must be true! My experience with this company was exactly like all the rest. They quoted me one price then tagged on an additional $2000. The delivered 2 weeks AFTER the date promised. I called daily to try and get an actual delivery date and was never given one. The rep actually said, "the driver lives in Florida, he has to come home eventually." Really???

When they did finally deliver, our glass dining table was in pieces, 8 pictures were broken along with other furniture. Many boxes were "missing". I was told that Duntara will not pay for repairs. We can put a claim and they MAY pay .60 per pound of damaged item. MAY PAY!

The movers refused to move boxes. They would only stack them in the living room. They refused to move two armoires upstairs. The driver said "I'm not going to hurt my back moving that." My husband and son had to move those pieces upstairs.

This was the WORST experience that we have ever had! Customer service was awful once they got our deposit. They sounded top notch until they had that money! Promised us the world, assured us that they would take care of our belongings and deliver on time. There is a delivery date "window" in the contract, but we were assured that was just required in the paperwork, and there would be no problem delivering on the date promised,

RUN RUN RUN!!! Do NOT give these thieves your money

Moves totaled 3.5 million in 2011-2012, up from 2.8 million the prior year and the highest it has been since 2006-2007, according to Census Bureau data.Americans are on the move again.

Thanks to the slowly brightening employment picture, along with the uptick in the housing market, more and more people are packing up and relocating. And the pace is likely to pick up in the summer months, the peak season for moving, according to moving industry professionals.

It’s a far cry from the situation just a few years ago.

“Two years ago, it seemed like everything was falling off the face of the earth,” said Randy Shacka, president of Two Men and a Truck, a franchise moving company.” But monthly payroll growth averaging 208,000 is turning that around – and spurring job-related moves.

Even though overall moving activity is still below where it was in 2009-2010, the number of people moving for a new job or transfer is on the rise. Moves for those reasons totaled 3.5 million in 2011-2012, up from 2.8 million the prior year and the highest it has been since 2006-2007, according to Census Bureau data. And the number of people moving because they had lost a job or were looking for work declined.

The recovering housing market is also giving people the flexibility to move by making it easier for people to sell their homes. The National Association of Realtors’ chief economist says that with relatively few houses on the market, double-digit gains in housing prices are possible in 2013. And that, in turn, is spurring construction – making moving easier.

“In the single family construction market, they’re out there building those houses for a reason. They think people are going to buy them and move into them,” said John Bisney, a spokesman for the American Moving and Storage Association.

If you are planning to join the thundering herds of relocating Americans, you can take a variety of steps to make the process less painful.

•Reserve your spot: Movers are likely to more booked up this summer than they have been lately, and you will have a better shot at hiring the mover of your choice if you plan ahead. “Typically the busiest time to move is in the summer, on weekends, and at the end of the month. If you’re looking to do that, reach out as soon as you can,” said Shacka.

•Hire carefully: Not all moving companies are created equal. Ask friends and colleagues for recommendations, and check with the Better Business Bureau and the American Moving and Storage Association to make sure there are no complaints against a company you are considering.

•Beware of scams: If a quote sounds too good to be true … you know the rest. “If you get two or three estimates and one seems abnormally different than the rest, I’d be very leery of that,” Shacka said. “The moving industry does have some black eyes from folks who tend to lowball estimates.” Also keep an eye out for how the quote is framed. Are you being charged by the hour? By the piece? And if it’s the latter, do you really know how many pieces of furniture you have? I thought not.

•Keep the kids happy: “Don’t get rid of your children’s favorite things before the move –even if it makes it easier,” Shacka said. “Kids sometimes have a hard time dealing with the change of the move itself.” And unhappy kids make for unhappier parents.

Moving is never fun. But think it through, and you can make it considerably less painful.
