Opened in 1957, Moore Elementary School offers an array of opportunities designed to benefit students, including Title I reading, English Language Learners literacy lab, before- and after-school care and Book Buddies. The school serves students in kindergarten through grade six. It organizes a range of extracurricular activities that include instrumental and choral music programs, field trips and outdoor camps. The school s health department informs students about various issues, such as contagious diseases, special health problems, medications, and child abuse and neglect. The department additionally conducts hearing and vision tests. The elementary school operates a library that stocks a collection of books, magazines and newspapers. Operated by the Poudre School District, Moore Elementary School offers lessons in several subjects, including vocabulary, arithmetic, science, social studies and health education.
