Water Service Line and Water Heater Installation

I wanted to write this letter to thank you for a job very well done. I thought you and your team did an extremely professional job with the water service line replacement and water heater installation. Your team provided very prompt, almost immediate service and were able to somehow install a new service line without trenching a ditch through our yard and landscaping. Of the five bids we received for this job, there was only one other that offered boring as a means of installing the service line. This other company not only would have cost us 35% more in labor, but they would not have been able to get the job done until 7 days after your completion date. Furthermore, this other company would have had to excavate the driveway whereas your team smartly trenched under the driveway to gain access to the curbstop service valve. I thought I would not only commend you on a job well done, but also thank you for going that extra distance to ensure my wife and I would be pleased with your work by using smarter, less destructive means of accomplishing the task. Lastly, I also wanted to praise you for all of the additional time you and your team took to ensure that the landscaping that did need to be removed, was put back together exactly the way, if not better, than it was originally. Thank you again Rod!

Great Service

The guys did a great job and the price was reasonable. They were very friendly and professional.

I'd say average

I hardly ever have to call plumbers & the like, so I really don't know what the industry standard is for customer service. That being said, I have certain expectations since I used to work in a customer service oriented industry myself (automotive). I expect to pay a basic charge for the service call, and then get an estimate of repairs before any work is done. Rod pretty much informed me about failures or flaws as he repaired them, so I didn't feel I got much chance to approve or decline a certain repair. I would rather he had itemized them and showed me what all was wrong up front. I think he replaced things that did not necessarily need replacement (toilet seat and rusted handle). Also, there was a lot of water splashed in the area surrounding the toilet that a customer service oriented outfit would've cleaned up better. They DID seem technically proficient and knowledgeable, and the 10yr warranty seems a good deal, so we'll see what happens.

Maybe next time?

I set up an appointment with Rod the first time, he never showed up or called to reschedule. I thought I would give him a second chance and he showed up two hours late.He asked for a 50% deposit before the job started and didn't show up until 5 days later. Before the job ended, he said he needed the final 50% to buy more materials.The job ended up taking 8 days longer than it was supposed to, and when finished, it was $1254 over budget. I called the BBB to complain and they added me to a long list of similar complaints.I wouldn't call Rod again if my life depended on it!!

Great Work... fast & affordable

Thanks Rod for installing my additional 2nd water heater. We have 5 in the family along with a huge soaking tub that used to always run out of hot water. Great copper plumbing work too! Looks great, and definitely worth your commendation thanks!
