I've been using Crystal Glen Kennel for about 3 years now. All the employees are friendly and helpful, Jasmine, Tia, Willi and Sue are great folks who genuinely care about the animals they board and care for, and treat them as their own. Yes, when you arrive it can be a bit overwhelming at first with all of the goldens and other dogs barking and raising a ruckus...they are dogs after all and dogs bark when someone they don't recognize is on their "turf" so to speak. However, dogs that are not social or display aggressive tendencies are not simply thrown together in a yard and left to fend for themselves with others. ALL dogs are watched and assessed for behavior by the employees before they are socialized with other dogs. I've read some reviews elsewhere that seemed concerned with cleanliness...I can tell you that this place is well kept and extremely well maintained, with yard maintenance done multiple times a day (waste pickup) as well as inside the runs, and I've never picked up my dog and noticed any signs of him "covered in feces" as another review stated. I've been to other kennels and the staff is either clearly untrained or they just don't care or have the experience like the folks at Crystal Glenn do, not to mention dogs at other kennels are kept locked up in a small run and have no where to roam and stretch out, nor are they socialized with other dogs. Would you like to spend a day locked up in a tiny run with nobody to hang out with? Me neither. I highly recommend Crystal Glenn Kennels...I'll never bring my dog anywhere else. Plus, he loves to swim the stream and go for walks in the huge 14 acre fields on either side of the property. Why go anywhere else?!?

So I was thinking about using this kennel and went ahead and made reservations for the holidays. This was all done over the phone and even put down a deposit to reserve a spot for my dog. At first when I made the reservation the person on the phone taking down my information seemed very happy to help me and customer service seemed great. But when I called back a couple of weeks later because my plans had changed to cancel my reservation the person on the phone was very short and rude to me. I know that I was canceling and they were losing a sale, but this is still no way to treat someone on the phone. I was hung up on right after they found out which reservation even before I could ask if I was getting my deposit back. I called back right away to ask about the deposit and the answer I got was "I will have to look into it." What the heck does that mean? I warn anyone out there. Please do not use this kennel. I was kind of getting a bad feeling about them after I had made my reservation

I am writing this review out of concern for the many customers whom may be considering boarding thier pets with crystal glen kennels. I was thouroughly disappointed with the kennel in fort collins. First off their customer service was absolutely horrible; I had to wait for three customers to be helped before I was even merely glanced at even though I was the first customer there out of the three before me. Next my dog came home underfed and with a horrible cough. kennel cough? I have no idea but ive spent hundreds on vet bills for the cough. Lastly the kennel was filthy. I'll admit I myself am not the most clean person but even I was shocked by the amount of dust buildup on the ceilings, and dirt on the very doorhandles customers are supposed to touch at the front door. Not to mention that when I walked up to the front door there was a bucket of dog poop starring me in the face by the walkway. Overall I do not suggest the kennel because a sense of professionalism was not present at all

I loved this Kennel as well as my dog. He would jump out the window if he could a mile away cause he knows he is going to "Camp Snoopy". The Staff has always been friendly and they know my dog so well, every time he comes in he jumps in there laps. The kennel itself is vary clean and the small play groups are always monitored and I have never seen more the 4 or 5 dogs in a group together. Highly recommend over other kennels for friendliness, cleanliness and price, in these hard times they have kept it reasonable it helps a lot.
