Our experience with Dr Vosseteig over the past two years has been positive, as many of the other posts indicate. However, his inability to to react with courtesy and professionalism during a recent visit where my wife stated a concern has warranted a reduction to an average rating or 3 stars. I caution anyone who plans to visit 20/20 that your experience may be nostalgic to that of grade school, where you were the unknowing student and the much wiser, authoritative teacher "shushes" you to put an end to an unwarranted question...he actually shushed my wife while she was talking with him. I personally feel that his dialog lacks mutual respect, he does not speak with mannerisms that adults offer one another, but rather a mimics how a superior would speak to a subordinate.



An excerpt from a recent email he sent me speaks for itself (notice the authoritative tone of finality) Dr. Vosseteig: "First and foremost, you were told that these lenses were to be replaced annually, and Jolena signed our CRT Policies form to prove it ... but that is not reasonable to expect and was NEVER implied...it seems reasonable then at this juncture, that you might be better served by a different eye doctor" 'nuff said.

I'm sorry your wife felt that way about her last visit. I try my best to make everyone comfortable in my office. I have done my best to try to meet your wife's needs, and I'm sorry she had some misunderstandings about what to expect about specialty contact lenses and our office. Hope she finds what she's looking for!
