Towers Ear Nose & Throat Loses Civil Court Case to Tower Times

Towers Ears Nose and Throat, located in the Arcade of North Shore Towers and at Parker Towers in Forest Hills, lost a case brought by the Tower Times in the Civil Court of the City of New York for refusing to pay their delinquent advertising bill, Thursday, July 7th in Queens Court.

Judge Richard G. Latin awarded the Tower Times a total judgment of $1,764.73, including interest. Dr. A. Abraham (Allan) Levin did not show up for the hearing, after refusing to pay in full for advertising his North Shore Towers office in 2009, even after agreeing to a compromise to pay small monthly amounts towards the delinquent account. As of press time no further payment has been received, in violation of the court order.

Dr. Levin did not return multiple voicemails and messages left at his office and on his cell phone, as well as with his receptionist. He hung up on the publishers when they finally reached him, and there was no response to follow-up Certified letters.

If Towers Ears Nose and Throat does not fulfill the court order to pay their bill, the judgment states that punishment can include garnishment of wages and bank accounts, lien, seizure and/or sale of property, revocations, suspension or denial of renewal of applicable business licenses, investigation and prosecution by the State Attorney General for fraudulent or illegal business practices, and a penalty equal to three times the amount of the unsatisfied judgment plus attorney’s fees. In addition, the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, and Education Dept. will be informed, along with the company’s landlords at North Shore Towers and Parker Towers.
