Most patients and families find themselves under the care of a maternal-fetal medicine specialist because things aren't going exactly as planned. Usually, some unforeseen issue has arisen, and patients are fearful about what this could mean for the health of themselves, or their child(ren). I understand this experience firsthand, having navigated my own challenging high-risk pregnancy, delivery and neonatal course. It is such an honor to care for families under difficult circumstances, and work together to achieve the best possible outcome. I am both a realist and an optimist, and love working with families to achieve their "best possible," even when a pregnancy isn't going according to plan. I am a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist, and completed fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine in2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. I have engaged in a broad-range of clinical research during my medical training, but my passion truly lies in providing the best clinical care to patients. Special areas of interest include multiple gestations, and congenital anomalies (birth defects). Having recently completed fellowship, I am used to staying up to date on the latest studies, and am passionate about keeping current with the ever-changing medical research. When I'm not working, my hobbies include sailing, skiing and spending time with family. As a mother to young children, these hobbies look different than they did in years past, but we are enjoying learning how to continue doing what we love as a family. I also love a good do-it-yourself home improvement project. My husband and I are both graduates of Lehigh University, and we are so happy to be back in the Lehigh Valley and part of the St Luke's family.
