MRMC Hand Center Services • Wound management services include: debridement, suture removal, dressing changes, pin care and patient education for home programs • Pain management provides modalities, exercise, stretching and pain reduction techniques • Therapeutic exercise and manual therapy is performed to regain motion, strength and dexterity • Splinting includes: customized static, serial static and dynamic splints, which are made to protect injured structures, to mobilize stiff joints and to enhance upper extremity function • Activities of daily living and adaptive equipment needs are assessed and training is provided to encourage independence in self-care activities • Prosthetic services include: wound care, stump preparation, and prosthetic training Common Diagnoses Treated • Carpal Tunnel • Arthritic Conditions • Complex Regional Pain Syndrome • Hand or Upper Extremity Pain/Weakness • Hand or Upper Extremity Injuries/Wounds • Rotator Cuff Injuries/Repairs • Wrist, Finger, Arm, Shoulder Fractures • Sprains/Strains • Repetitive Use Injuries
