I have been taking my 5 standard poodles to Lora at the Hound Hut for 11 years now and I have always been beyond happy with the grooming services and the care and love they receive there. There is no where else I would even consider boarding my dogs when I leave town. Lora's 'no crating' policy was the reason I started going to her in the first place. Over the years and the many, many times we've been to the Hound Hut, Lora and her staff have always been friendly and professional and have ALWAYS brought to my attention any issues or potential problems with my dogs - that I may not have noticed. It is always clear that Lora LOVES every single animal in her care! One reason I have stayed with her and the Hound Hut for all these years is because of the consistent, high-quality service she has always provided for us. I have never received that kind of quality, personalized care anywhere else in the greater Asheville area! (And I have tried plenty of different places!)



If you do the math of my 5 dogs over 11 years - that's a very HIGH number of visits for grooming, boarding, and dog day care that we have made to the Hound Hut over the years - and I have NEVER had any problems or complaints - and in fact, my dogs LOVE to go to the Hound Hut. I have recommended the Hound Hut for all my 11 years and will continue to do so. Lora cares for ALL the animals in her care and would never do anything to endanger them! I have had that proven to me over and over again. Every person I have recommended the Hound Hut to has also been very happy with the services.

Best Day Care ever. My english bulldog was suffering depression after my 10 year old cocker passed away in Jan. She started being aggressive at other people and other animals. She started attacking my daughter's own pit bull. After just 1 week I have seen a difference. She now can go by other dogs when leaving and not growl or try to bite and at the other owners who have animals. I see a behavior difference in her and I'm pleased how she can now interact with other animals as well as people. I have had her boarded and she has done very well. The staff has been very patient with my little diva and I just don't give her to anyone either. After just 2 weeks and they are cont. to work with her I will most definate take my baby back for daycare, boarding, and grooming needs. Thank you

WORST DOG CARE / GROOMING EVER!! My boyfriend took his darling 8 pound Yorkie here for grooming and she was severely abused and nearly choked to death on the "noose." When she was picked up, she had to be rushed to the emergency vet hospital because one eye was swollen from trauma, the other was full of blood, and she had OBVIOUS BRUISE MARKS on her little belly. The diagnosis was: Severe head trauma consistent to strangulation by the noose used to groom which has caused blood to pool in her eyes, and a positive diagnosis of severe bruising to her underbelly consistent with rough handling. When confronted, the owner "who groomed the dog herself" denied it and then tried to say it was from another dog there (She was there for grooming, NOT boarding!), then said well maybe she fell in the sink from the grooming table!! It was obvious they knew what happened and she quickly agreed to pay the vet bill but would not refund for the "grooming" charge and continues to deny it happened there. The veterinary documents prove otherwise. This dog fits in one hand and should never have been handled in such a manner as to cause this kind of trauma!! It is obvious that this place only cares about making money, NOT the animals trusted to their care. This sweet girl used to greet each day with a smile and a happy face. Today she does not walk around and no longer wags her tail. ABSOLUTELY INEXCUSABLE!!!

The Hound Hut gets to know your pet. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats that are groomed and go to pet day care at the Hound Hut. My pets run in the Hound Hut, not out. Laura and her staff provide the best grooming I have found in the area.
