No bird behaves the same, but I can help find what works best for you and your life style. Get a personal assessment of your bird in your own home! I work with all parrots, such as; Amazon, Cockatoo, Macaw, Parakeet, African gray, Conure, ect. I can work on almost every issue ;(not limited to) biting, self-mutilation, screaming, fighting, boredom, depression, diet, overall health, or new ways on how to enhance your birds life with a few tricks. Why me? Like you I fell in love with the beauty and personality of birds. But there is 500 ways to help with one issue. So what do you do? Through my life time of personal experience with birds I have found that not every solution will work. It takes looking at every part of the bird’s life to find an accurate solution. Once I teach you the key things to look for, you will be able to learn for yourself what works best for your bird. I will not judge you or your life style, or make you feel guilty for not understanding how to care of your pet. My goal is only to help better the relationship with you and your feathered friend. It can be very hard to understand what your bird is trying to tell you, but it's great when we finally get it! Initial assessment include: Proper diet, physical condition, how to cut wings & nails, bonding, understanding bird's body language, cage arrangement, how to handle good & bad habits, and interaction with other family members. Self-Modulation: There are many reasons why a bird would pull out its own feathers. By bathing the bird with special soothing soap I can give the bird much needed relief. Fallowed by a healing all natural, essential oil, and aloe water mix to heal wounds quicker, and on a fast track to recovery. Grooming: A quick lesson on how to properly trim your bird’s wings and nails, or set up a recurring 3-6 mth appointment if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself. Beak trimming: Got a real flaky beak, or getting to long? Sometimes birds don’t know how to properly care for their beaks, diet or excessive growth can also cause this problem. By gently taking layer at a time I can make your bird’s beak look brand new. Plus a little buff and shine-up for a finish. Cage Set-up/Arrangement: Keep your bird active and busy with a cage MAKE-OVER! By adding natural and bird fun things, + a few of their own toys, they can get a mental and physical exercise they need! Behavior: Birds can have multiple owners in there very long life time. Leaving them with good/bad memories. These things can lead to bad habits such as: screaming, plucking, depression, biting, and more. By assessing their environment and behavior. I can help you and your bird overcome these issues by making easy changes. Re-Homing: 1st, you may not have to re-home your bird. If it’s a behavioral issue or you simple can’t keep him/her happy, let me help you renew hope in your bond by an Assessment that can pin point why those things are happening. But if you do have to re-home, you want to make sure your feathered friend goes to a good home and stays happy. The transition of re-homing a bird can be very hard on a bird. Leading to the bird becoming stressed or depressed. I can help the new bird parents lay a good foundation for the bird’s new home. Also incases that you are not able to re-home your own birds, I can assist you in finding good new bird parents.
