Justine, please contact me. I agree this business has some shady practices going on. My colleagues suggest a class action lawsuit might be filed?? Perhaps we should contact Channel 2?? Please contact me via Facebook. My husband had foot warts removed and now he's being charged $4,500.00 for it as Mid-County Surgery is out-of-network and they knew all along and didn't tell us. They lie and lie and lie some more and then try to hold you hostage. Sold hyfrecation which has caused scar tissue, and now two other podiatrists said hyfrecation should never have been done, period. Oh, and when it is done, hyfrecation is only done with a local and always in office not in surgery center. Prior to surgery we asked two times if iv sedation with twilight was absolutely necessary as my hubby wasn't comfortable with either especially with having been born with major heart defect. We were told that there was no way, for without it they would be peeling him off of the ceiling. Before surgery we have a witness who heard them tell my hubby that they verified insurance and entire surgery would cost $267.00 which is what we paid on day of surgery and we have a receipt for that. Then they called my hubby while at work at beginning of April and told him good news insurance came back better than expected and he only owed seventy some odd dollars which he paid. Only then was he told card had been placed on hold for the $267.00. We are checking his license and hospital privileges because one review said he no longer has privileges at De Paul Hospital. My hubby has major heart defect. If something went wrong, where would he have gone to care for my hubby?? On May 11 Allison lied and told me that IPS has the billing for anesthesia, but they were in process of getting billing back in house for everything else. Well, Nov. 16th I am told that IPS located in Florida now has anesthesia and facility billing. Now we know the truth: Horwitz is in-network with Coventry, Feet For Life is in-network, but Mid-County Surgery is out-of-network. Oh and since facility is out-of-network, anesthesia is also out-of-network. A review on casement reveals he is sued a lot. Hmm, this is very unusual, as other podiatrists in area don't spend as much time in court as he does. Now I know why. I wonder if he has any strikes against his medical license? The research continues on this deleted comment excuse of a human being.

Cannot say anything positive a...

Cannot say anything positive about this place.
It is like a money making factory for dr horwitz.
I have never met a more money grubbing money hungry doctor in my life.
Now I have to pay him $150 for doing NOTHING for me, spending 45 seconds for looking at my foot 1 time.
He also charged my insurance for 30 minutes.... he was in the room for less than 2....
He tried to sell me his $800 inserts for my flat feet..LOL!! what a money grubbing FREAK!!!!!!!!
Im going to DICKS to get some shoes with support. wish I never went here and wasted my money.
He is horrible, just horrible. Im sure hes laughing all the way to the bank from the $1,500 he charged my insurance for the xrays he took and never even looked at.
feel free to e mail me with any other questions about my experience. HORRIBLE

find a washington U doctor instead.
