DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Several pieces of furniture were broken along with a door and dented hardwood floor. Paid over 6,000 to have them pack and move items way of that 6,000 is the damage to my home and items. They never told or asked us about insurance and lied and said they did. I was promised they would be careful and they packed new expensive clothing in small boxes but charged me for wardrobe boxes. They dumped all our drawers into boxes and mixed rooms so it will take us weeks to unpack. They took our cords to the surround sound systems and took the knobs off our lamps and took apart our shades and all the pieces are missing. I had a middle door ripped off my Credenza, corner of my buffet chipped the top corner of my entertainment center chipped off. Most of our furniture was brand new and is now damaged! We can’t turn on our lamp lights or set up our TV’s. I have broken dishes and they even took the spout off a glass cooler I have. Totally rude and refuse to call me back and commented they only deal through email!
BEWARE don’t risk using this company!

University Movers provided an outstanding service with our local move from Livonia to Farmington Hills. Starting with Angelo’s initial quote, move coordination with Sara and move day with Tristin, AJ, Jacob and Jason, everyone was professional, courteous and focused on providing the best experience for my elderly mother. I highly recommend this company.

This company is one in a million. They have this crazy slogan ‘make everyone a lifelong customer’ or something like that. The crazy part.... they actually mean it. They are beyond wonderful. Not only were they professional, accommodating, friendly, they were also reasonably priced! I had a mover quote me more than 2,500 more than them for the exact same weight. They made all sorts of accommodations to make my move the best I have ever experienced. Joe, the main mover even showed up an hour and a half early as there was a mix up with the freight elevator with the apartment complex. I can’t speak highly enough of this company from the very first interaction to the last. Everyone is wonderful and when my husband and I buy a house in a year we won’t even think for one second about who to use. Gift yourself something. Use these guys for your next move. Treat yo self.

I've done A LOT of work with UM&S and I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I've worked with!! The entire crew are incredibly polite, professional, and easy to work with.
Yesterday, I hired the movers to help me set up a dining hall. We had a lot of tables and chairs to move in a very short amount of time. Patrick, Greg and Richard helped us accomplish this big task in between serving students lunch and dinner. I had planned for this to be a two day job but the crew accomplished it in one!! Bonus!!
They are highly recommended! I urge you to give them a shot...you won't be disappointed :)

Our move could not have gone smoother! We’d once again like to thank the entire staff for making this move happen with no stress. We didn’t have to worry about a thing! Bob, Glen, Mike, Tim, and Wayne all took great pride in handling our household goods therefore our move got done in no time. We have never seen movers work as hard or diligently as they did. They are very professional and were extremely polite not only to us but to each other! They packed everything very carefully making sure every fragile item was padded therefore nothing got damaged! We would highly recommend University Moving & Storage!

We are so absolutely IMPRESSED by these moving professionals, their abilities and timeliness for our local move. Between my friends and I (who were with us today), we have hired 3 other moving companies in the past 5 years and they are not even in the same category as University Moving!

I have never seen movers so efficient, polite and conscientious as these gentleman are. I know University has a wonderful reputation, but the proof is in the pudding, and this is above even my highest expectations. In addition to all of our furniture, they even moved a Harley that wasn't running as well as a 600 lb gun safe into our basement.

They sent a professional out to do a quote, and had someone overseeing the process of our move the whole time. This was an A+ from start to finish.

We highly recommend them and if we could give 100 stars we would. Thank you for everything!

Well today was moving day. Patrick and Tim showed up right on time and made quick work of my move.
They were so efficient and polite but they were friendly also. I felt that they took very good care of my belongings. They were patient with me when I needed to have them rearrange items that they had already placed.
Scott was my coordinator and he checked with me before my move, during and after.
I would recommend University for any move.
They are a great company to work with.

We have used University Moving and Storage for three moves. One move from the west coast to the midwest and another move from the midwest to the east coast. The company was extremely helpful. I chose to do most the packing and the company gave professional insight to ensure that items were safely packed and boxed for relocation. The move estimates were accurate. One move (a move with in the same city) resulted in a refund because the movers were able to complete the move in a shorter amount of time than expected. Our furniture and belongings arrived as scheduled and completed in the timeline we were given. The friendly movers worked quickly, carefully and followed our requests for furniture and box placement. We were concerned about the move of two family heirlooms and the movers listen to our concerns during each move and took extra steps in the packing of those pieces to ensure they arrived without damage. In the three moves, no damage was done to the residences we were moving out of or into and not one item was damaged during the transition. I recommend University Moving and Storage and will use them again in the future.

Matt, your professionalism and knowledge from the start inspired confidence. Susan and Michelle your follow -up and concern for the level of customer service delivered every step of the way was impressive.

John, you and your crew get the biggest kudos! Your team was professional, friendly and above all protected our belongings as if they were your own. Thank you so much and please pass on our thanks to your crew, (Mike, Mike, Juan, Joe, Tim, Vince, Daniel, Jerry and I know I am missing someone so please forgive me, it is not intentional). For anyone that has to move, Univerisity will be my only recommendation.

Storage facility is clean, staff is friendly and easy to work with, BEST movers ever!!! Highly recommend them.

Don't use this company! Their employees stole $4,000 worth of valuables while packing our home. They refuse to accept responsibility and deny the allegation. If it happened to me it can happen to you. It's also worth mentioning that we had another $2,000 worth of damaged items. Terrible company with no morals.

Fantastic. Rhett, Kelly and their team in Michigan and also Wisconsin were unbelievable. We've never seen such speed and efficiency.

My wife and I were very pleased with Tony and his crew. They were very friendly and took exceptional care of our belongings. Not a single item was damaged during transport. One fiberboard bookcase that I did not expect to make it because of it's condition that did fall apart. Even though I was expecting this to happen, Toni took it upon himself to buy another one and assemble it on-site. This was something that he absolutely did not have to do and was not expected of him, but he did anyways. He even saved us money on a storage unit. We were going to originally place some items in storage because we could not fit them in our storage at our apartment. Toni let me know that he would be able to fit everything in our storage here so we would not have to rent a storage unit. His crew even took a little time out of their lunch to play soccer with our two kids. We cannot express to you how grateful we were to have movers like Tony and his crew. We are truly grateful to him and his team!

Great group of guys on our local move today, Pat, Brian, Adam and Gary. They were fast and hard workers. Besides being very personable, they were professional and cheerful. They are good representatives of University!

Wow! I had such an amazing experience with this team. I had a short timeframe move from Ann Arbor to DC. The gentleman who came out to do the estimate was the best of the best: thorough, friendly, super helpful. He managed to squeeze me in with just a week's notice. Then, the folks who packed up the truck were awesome, speedy, and careful. And same on the other side. One guy was the same on both sides and actually drove the truck himself, which was reassuring -- he was very impressive. Overall, I am thrilled with how easy this team made my big, last minute move :)
