Miss Porter's School is a college preparatory school that provides academic instruction to more than 300 girls in grades 9 through 12. The school maintains a staff of over 60 teachers, nearly 10 administrators and approximately 15 support members. It offers athletic activities in skiing, badminton, basketball, cross-country, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, squash, tennis, volleyball, and track and field. Miss Porter's School provides academic classes in art, computer applications, English, history, foreign languages, math, psychology and science. In addition, the school has a counseling department that provides information regarding the college admission process and financial aid. Miss Porter's School has been operational since 1843 and is located in Farmington, Conn.
