Farmington Public Works Department comprises of various divisions, such as engineering, building, planning, fire marshal, water pollution control facility, and highway and grounds. The department provides advice on issues that include home and property improvement, drainage concerns, sanitary sewer locations, leaf collection and snow plowing. Its engineering division designs, reviews and inspects public works projects. It also provides survey, design, review and construction administration services, and additionally inspects the construction work of developers. It is located in and governed by the city of Farmington in Connecticut.
