It all began in the decade of the 70s when farmers everywhere began to see a tightening in profit margins. There was a need for farmers to make a shift to new and better business practices. One of the visionaries of that time was Lester Rovey. In 1972, Rovey Seed Company began operation in Farmersville, Illinois, with Lester Rovey at the helm. Since that time, Rovey Seed Company has grown to become a trusted source of the highest quality food grains and seeds -- white corn, yellow corn and soybeans. The sons of Lester Rovey now provide the visionary leadership that continues to guide Rovey Seed today. Our recent investment in a Satake 80 Channel Sorter, allowing us to discard poor quality grain that other companies would sell to you, is just one example of our drive to provide our customers with quality, consistency and peace of mind in every non-GMO grain we sell.
