We couldn’t have asked for a better rehab! I was a bit weary when I arrived to the building as it could use a mild facelift, but I soon learned that you really can’t judge a book by its cover. The staff were friendly and most importantly, diligent with my brother’s care to recovery. Each and every staff member were helpful, from the social service lady, Leslie to a nurse named Toni. Toni took her time going over my brother’s plan of care with us and answered all of our questions in detail. I met the administrator of the building and to my surprise noticed that he often made rounds within the building to check in with other patients and the staff. Personally, I was impressed. We had a terrific experience and would suggest South Hills Rehabilitation Center to anyone needing care for yourself or a loved one.

Night shift staff rarely answer room request summons and spend the night gossiping all night long. Some smoke so that when they enter your room, it reeks of cigarette stale odors while others wear too much cologne or wear too much jewlery that is noisy as they may, if they answer your page for meds enter your room. I spent one night, the first night, in pain and unrestful sleep due to the above complaints. I talked to he "head" and threatened to leave ASAP if the situation did not change. It did. The only positive thing about that place is Godfrey...the resident cat who slept on my bed the three days I was here.
