Provided by YP.comGot service about 9 months ago in the middle of the burning hot summer, technician was extemely careful and knowledgeable. He found a great place to install an aerial dish and we have excellent service. I've probably gone 25 minutes without internet service since I've been with Velociter. They're amazing with installation scheduling, pricing and stability.
Have an issue? A quick phone call to their 24/7 support is always successful for me.
I have the 10up/2 down package for $75/month, it has unlimited data which is VERY rare. I tried UNow(?) Service and they wanted $200 a month for a lower service than this.
I game and stream Netflix often, my ping has never gone above 25 or so. I can stream Netflix HD in one room, game in another and have the laptop casually browsing without any slowdown or issues.

Provided by YPmobileDo not use this business. They will waste your time. They could not get the Internet to work at my house. Blamed it on my equipment. Finally admitted it was their equipment. Every month they would say " we are in the process of updating our system." They lie lie lie. Awful people.

Provided by YP.comi had same type of experience with them.. this company is nothing but trouble.. i was using clearwire in a area that is off coverage map.. i get better speed from clearwire then with their sub par service.. speed has never gone over 220k runs most of the time under 200k... do not use this company ... will only bring you headaches........
june 2013 follow up : Speed still really sucks for is billed as 2mb/s service... speed is still about 220k ...
If you decide to use VELOCITER WIRELESS DONT EXPECT GREAT SPEED. cheap AT&T adsl is much faster... If you have other choices for service use them!
Jeff and tony are not the same people... poor attempt at trying to disregard peoples reviews of your business Scott.... there are many negative reviews in different websites like yelp and google...
"Tony" and "Jeff" are the same people. You asked to cancel service hours after it was installed, you called our tech support and we determined you were running torrent downloads in the background and that was consuming your bandwidth. We have been, and were providing you 100% of the promised bandwith, proved that over the phone and offered to visit your home (again) to prove this to you. Velociter has never been backlogged two months for new installations. When you first contacted our office you had the EXACT same complaints about Clearwire.

Provided by YP.comI waited for the install crew to show up at my residence. About a half hour after the appointment time I called the Velociter office. I was told that the install crew might show up in about an hour or so. I asked for an adjustment for my wasted time, considering I had to call them to find out any info.
I guess I'm the lucky one as they have not called back, why should they, they didn't have the courtesy to call me the first time.

Provided by YP.comVelociter Wireless provided our service when my family was living in a rural area. They assured me that moving isn't a problem with the contract. When my family moved into town, (3 blocks from the Velociter Wireless office) they sent 2 technicians over to "study" my new house. They told me that I couldn't get a signal and they left. The didn't try to see if there were options for us, nor did the plan to retest. I went to the office to speak with Scott Vander Dussen, the owner, and he was rude and insistent that I pay out my contract. As a single mom, paying for an internet connection that I cannot receive for 8 months is impossible. I cannot believe how rude they were and their unwillingness to find a solution is disappointing. I do not recommend this company.

Provided by YPmobileWe have been loyal customers for quite a few years. Velociter's customer service has been very good, especially their one tech person who was always committed to returning our calls, until over a year ago.
Our Internet would drop regularly and we would be told that their upgrading the hardware, then he software, and then something else, which is understandable, but for how long. We used to get a pretty good speed for what we were paying for.
Then it got worse and still is. We barely reach half of the speed we are paying for and the interruptions are worse. Can't stream when we want because of the slow connections.
They have already been out here to replace their hardware, to no avail.
Unfortunately, we are in a rural area where we have no other options of connection, aside from dial-up.
Not sure what we'll do, but considering that it used to be good up until over a year ago, we hope with our consistent calling that Velociter will continue to peruse fixing the problem. But since our last call a few weeks ago, there has not been much hope.

Provided by YP.comI just recently moved back to Modesto from the bay area. When I moved to the country I wasn't sure I was going to find a service that could compare to what I had. However I spotted a sign on the side of the road that said high speed internet call 209 838 1221. Gave them a call and sure enough Velociter was able to provide me with fast internet. it's nice to be able to watch netflix again

Provided by YP.comFirst, there customer service and call backs are untimely and sluggish. After I placed the order to get internt, it took over 2 months to get, plus 3 times they made changes to the install date after I had taken the day off to be there. Second there Internet is far slower, (Far slower) than what they advertise, I saw half the speeds I was paying for. Plus most days there would be long drops in service. (I beleive its because they have taken on to much of a load for such a "small" company" For $80 I expected much more. And most important, Is what I just went through, On the contract there is a clause that if you cancel, you pay 50% of the total price of your 18 month contract. And that cost me in excess of $550. Just to cancel, They claim this is normal, for equipment and time lost, but they take there equipment back. All in all, if you have other options, I would "jump" at them. Anyone who needs to force you under a contract plus loss of money for services not rendered does not soundlike they plan to treat you good.

Provided by YP.comDon't ever use their wifi ! They hack into other devices that pick up their wifi.
You must have Velociter confused with another provider. We don't use or offer "wifi" as a service. All of our wireless equipment is FCC certified, AES encrypted, and 100% secure.

Provided by YP.comVelociter's internet service is okay for those who need high speed internet and do not have access to dsl. As for customer service, they do a pretty good job until something goes wrong. Unfortunately, they don't handle complaints and problems well at all. If you think you'll get better service from a small company, think again. Velociter treats customers more like numbers than people. They won't make any allowances or concessions in the case of an error, even when the mistake is theirs.
Velociter's customer service agreement details service credits and expected service levels for customers - most providers won't put that in writing. We do our best to provide excellent customer service, and based upon surveys 97% of our customers would recommend our service.
