I recently stayed at the Ephrata Motel with my boyfriend. We stayed there from Christmas Eve 2013 thru Mid January. We stayed there for a time, because we had nowhere else to go. This is the s***iest place I've ever stayed at! The place is despicable. The rooms, so not up to par. There is no fridge, microwave and coffee maker. There's poor plumbing and lighting. The dresser drawer in our room was broken and missing drawers. The toilets would flood and moisten the entire bathroom, the shower was old and moldy. Worst of all, we had rodent infestation! I know this because most of the clothes I had with me had holes in them, that the mice had eaten. Me boyfriend and I both saw and heard them with our own eyes and ears. And the owners are just downright nasty. When we addressed our concerns with them, they denied everything and in fact said it was our doing. They expected us to pay for all the damages, etc. When it came time for the rooms to be cleaned, they wanted us to help them do it. As if it's our job. They don't care about people and know nothing of hospitality. The only thing they care about is money. Honestly, I don't understand why this place is still open. They should have been closed years ago. We contacted the Ephrata Business Bureau, as far as I know, they haven't done a damn thing about it. This place is so bad, I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Do yourself a favor, save your time and money. DON'T STAY AT THE EPHRATA MOTEL.
