Id say i just completed my journey as a surrogate in January 2017 but honestly it never ends in your heart. Me and my husband have been married for 12 years with a 11 year old and never wanted anymore children but i defiantly wanted to experience carrying a child again and being a surrogate sounded like the most blessed experience i could imagine. Turns out it is. We made sure to do a little research before deciding on which agency to go with and CSP stuck out the most to us. I would defiantly say we got lucky in all departments. Alot of people may believe that when you sign up it is a rushed process and they are gun-ho to get your uterus to work right away. That is not the case i assure you, Me and my husband went through 6 months of medical testing, phone interviews, plus we had to fly up to Maryland, because we are East Coast, to do face to face interviews before we could even sign on. This is all so you are absolutely sure you know what you are getting into. I got to fly up to Maryland once every 3 months for support group meetings and CSP even has an active facebook page just for us surrogates. It really helps to know that you are not alone in the process and any questions you may have can be answered publicly or privately. I was perfectly matched and i have to say i couldnt have asked for better IPs. Even 6 months after babys birth they are sending me pictures and updates weekly. During the time that you spend getting to know them and carrying their child it really forms a bond and special relationship. They have asked me to carry for them again and i am more than happy to. If they hadnt asked me right away i would have waited a few years to sign on with CSP to do another journey. Im not going to lie and say that they are perfect, because nobody is and there are always mishaps, but I have talked to other surrogates with other agencies and i feel confident that CSP has our best interest and offers the best services and protection that us surrogates need.
