Established in 1976, First Baptist Christian School is an educational institution that provides Biblically-centered education. It has an enrollment of more than 180 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school offers courses in Bible studies, English, history, mathematics, social studies, computers and physical education. It also offers courses in American literature, physics, biology, chemistry, geometry, choir, photography and drama for students in grades 9 through 12. First Baptist Christian School maintains a faculty of more than 25 teachers. Its athletic programs include basketball and soccer. First Baptist Christian School is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International and is affiliated with the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches. The school is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio.
