Ellicott Mills Middle School is governed by Howard County Public School System, which governs more than 70 elementary, middle, high and special schools. The school has an annual enrollment of more than 650 students in grades six through eight. Ellicott Mills Middle School offers a variety of before- and after-school intramurals that includes basketball, geography bee, sewing and homework club. The school offers educational courses in art, family and consumer science, foreign languages, health, math, social studies, and physical and technology education. It has a parent-teacher association, which includes more than 350 members and works to promote the welfare of children and youth. Ellicott Mills Middle School, established in 2001, is located in Ellicott City, Md.
