Stay away from this management it the Worst management company ever. We have been incredibly dissatisfied with the negligence, lies, harassment, and disrespect this company conveys. I been renting since 2 years, 1st year I moved apt full with bed bug...1st thing, when i moved i asked them if there is bed bug they said no, but after just one week my wife and baby become all red with bug bites...we spent 6 month of nighmare and we took all our cloth garbage and bought new one. 2nd the oven has problem of smoke and gaz...I called company more than 5 times but owner doesn't care...and refuse to change new one...3. We have problem of electricity in apt sometimes there is light in bedroom somtimes no and same for living room and kitchen...called them but can't find where is problem finally they made big hall in kitchen and leave it for me like it is.....4.us we know winter is too could but this management doesn't care ..the hit is cold so is better you buy more warm cover bed...5.there handy man are with no experience they don't know nothing every time they come to fix something they take all the day just to make over time...finally after one week waiting, nothing fixed..the only handy man in this management called marrio..if you get other one it means wast of time...6.building is very old and when you move in, you will find every thing old ( windowns,bathroom,oven,refrigirator,floor,..) but be careful and font worry just when you leave apt they will take all your deposit you gave them to buy new staff and they wI'll chare 125$ cleaning even if your apt is cleen. I was charged 575$ of the $720 security deposit for minor fixes even though the building is older and there was tear upon move in..the day i left apt, the worst handy man cam with very dirty smelling, like he was smoking something and check apt, then he keep writing every thing missed,missed and when I asked to see what he wrote, he refuse to show me what is missing...and told me just signe, he was in hurry to leave, he wasn't normal and cant stand he just keep moving and saying i have to leave, i have to leave...then i refused to signe for hom since he wasn't normal and refuse to explain what is missing...I swear i will find every social media outlet that they are on and inform everyone I can so they don't get stuck in a horrible situation like we did....I just posted how they charged for me 575$ even I cleand apt and left every in good condition..as I know every owner has to clean and renew and pain apt every time there is new renter but this management owner is very smart he is paying every thing from our deposit ..

I had my property managed by PPMI. Although nothing major happened and the people are very friendly, they never give you an accurate answer on questions. There were multiple extra fees added on to my monthly payment for things that were not listed in my contract. When I would call or email for a question, usually there was no timely response (being out of the country this was a major concern). When I would ask a question and get an answer it turned out to be the wrong answer majority of the time (which would result in another fee). It seems like my monthly fee for them to management my property did not go to anything since I was paying bank transfers for all of my bills and would pay extra for any other work done on the house. Again overall nothing major happened to my property, but i have little confidence they would have handled it properly if something had happened.

I'm currently living in a PPMI apartment. All the fire alarms in the hallways have been beeping with the low battery signal for well over a month.

Prominent Property Management Inc is a rip off. When I told them I did not want to extend my lease, I let them know an extra month in advance as a friendly deed. Rather than be professionals, Mark the landlord contacted me to write good reviews for them and then decided that they would begin to let people look at our apartment while we lived there. This WAS on the lease, however, it should not have begun until the following month. For 2 weeks, people were in almost everyday, including one day WHEN THEY ENTERED WITHOUT PERMISSION. They are constantly coming into the building for various tasks and rarely actually do them. During, they put up signs for weeks about winterizing the window. The signs would say that in between monday through Friday 9 am-5 pm they would be entering at some point and never did. I was having issues getting payments in on time at the beginning because I had to go to the bank and get a cashiers' check. I was hit with an unnecessary $50 fine one month becausee they penalized me for not receiving the rent money on time when the expected date fell on a weekend. They do not tell you that you can pay online so that they can make more money off of you. I had 2 packages delivered and were stolen. When I texted Mark Conway, he never responded at all. I was charged $300 of the $899 security deposit for minor fixes even though the building is older and there was tear upon move in. This was after I called to inquire about it they lied to me and told them that they barely took anything off. I will find every social media outlet that they are on and inform everyone I can so they don't get stuck in a horrible situation like we did.

had a small leak under the sink in my batroom and they came in 1 day to fix it. the office seemed really concrned about me when i called and told me that their guy would come as soon as possible and he ddid. :)

Our HOA hired this company dur...

We've had PPMI for about 2 years now as our property management company, under quite unusual circumstances. This year they aggressively mulched around the trees, even mulched around the dead neglected trees and stumps. The workers were even on the property on the 4th of July and seemed excited about overtime pay! I have to say, the two dumpster corrals they rebuilt for us really bring attention to our community. The unusual angle cuts of the boards, dragging gates and plumbing pipes used to keep the doors closed really add that special touch. PPMI has made our community property look and feel U-N-I-Q-U-E! Thanks for stepping up PPMI!

Our homeowner's association is management by Prominent. The landscaping on the property this year has been great. Jose and his crew were out trimming bushes today. They did a great job on mine & my neighbors. He seems like a sincere guy that tries to do the best always. These guys have stepped up to the plate for KSHA.

i have rented with this company for 2 years in Chicago Ridge. I got another letter to refer someone and you get a credit on your rent. The company also asked for reviews submitted to the office or posted online, so i looked them up. the whole time i have been with them, i have had no issues. I have rented at other places in the past, and it was impossible to even call someone when you had an issue. I havent had to call much, but i have talked to Nancy and Kelly. I dont get what other people are complaining about, but i hope other tenants post to help them.

I'd gotten an apartment with them for the 7 months I spent in Chicago Ridge and I cant tell you how happy I was being their customer! They are extremely easy to catch a hold of, always willing to help and if ever you have any issues with your apartment they send over their handyman the same day! Unless of course its after house then the guy comes by the next day. But I honestly have no idea what these other people are going on about, I never had any issues and the building I was at was very safe and had a very welcoming atmosphere. I'm going back to Chicago Ridge next year and will definitely get in touch with PPMI to find me an apartment preferably in the same building. Amazing service, the office are very helpful till the point I moved out. 10/10!

Awesome snow removal

My parents and I live at kennington square in Elgin. The last snow storms we have had ppmi is out there on the spot cleaning up the snow! They do such a great job keeping our community clean. Great job ppmi!!

I lived at Chicago Ridge about a year ago. I was surprised to see the efficiency of the maintenance guys with keeping the building in shape and coming to fix stuff around. A couple of times during the winter my heater broke and the office staff was quick to send someone to take care of the problem. They would also call me each time before coming into my apartment, to give me a heads up of their visit. I can honestly say that if it wasn’t for my job relocating I would have stayed to renew my lease. Overall, this management company provides everyone that lives in their buildings with quality of service. If I ever return to the Chicago area I will be sure to use PPMI.

From Catherine "Ask any of our current clients and they will tell you they are treated as individuals and each is just as important as the next" as a client i don't feel respected or "important" as they just walk in without a notice the building is dirty. they take over a month to fix anything or they just don't I've been waiting for 6 months for a fix. DON'T RECOMMEND TO FAMILYS. they don't rise the temp over 60 f so its always freezing in the winter and in Chicago or the burbs it gets cold what if i had kids id be in jail for child endangerment and they would rent it to the next person. I've been robbed my storage has been broking into by people in the building. when i call the office i an attitude form the girls in the office i dislike this management co

I like PPM a lot. They are good people. The place I live is having some bad times now and PPM is trying to help. If I got a question they answer it. They are smart & professional people. They are always nice. They answer me fast either calling back or email me. The place looks good because of them helping and doing stuff. The place I live at in Elgin is a good place to live. Been here 3yrs. Looks better everyday. Like to be able to call PPM to get answers to my questions cause those people know what they are talking about..

That I think this is a great company. They've stepped in to handle my association and they're courteous and prompt and answer any questions we had when we initially met. Ilse is knowledgeable about what her company offers and I've talked to some of the in-office staff who are helpful as well. I look forward to a long business relationship with them.

Like a bad date

Well, what can I say. We are relocating overseas and were in desperate need for a property management company to rent and manage our single family home in Elgin.



I called up Prominent Property Management and scheduled an appointment with Ilse for 5 pm on a Friday. 20 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment I get a call asking me if it would be possible to reschedule. Okay, things happen and appointments need to be rescheduled. Not a problem at all, so we set up another appointment for 6:30 pm on the following Monday.



So, Monday rolls around and I leave work early, ask my wife to pick up the kids, just so I can meet with Ilse. Did I mention that we had to find a property management company fast? Oh yeah, I did.



Anyway, I make it home just on time. Go inside and ... wait. And wait. And wait. For over an hour. At 7:30 pm I call Ilse to ask if I possibly got the days mixed up. No one answers, so I leave a message in hope that someone will call me back. No such luck. The next day I send her an e-mail to let her know that I didn't really appreciate being stood up but again ... no response.



It may be that I am old-fashioned (I don't know how since I'm "only" 28) but if you can't make it to an appointment with a potential customer, don't you at least call to cancel and reschedule, even if it's the second time? Maybe our business wasn't important enough. One single family home surely doesn't earn as much money as multi-unit apartment building.



Either way, I think it goes without saying that after this initial experience we decided to take our business elsewhere. If you live half way around the world, the most important thing in a business relationship is communication. Obviously that is something that was missing in this case and so I guess we should thank Ilse for "warning" us before we took it to the next level.

Let me begin by saying that all prospective customers are equally as important, whether they are a single-family dwelling or a hundreds-strong homeowner's association. Ask any of our current clients and they will tell you they are treated as individuals and each is just as important as the next. This situation began when an appointment was made with Ilse to come to your house to meet for prospective management. Our company was to be working with 2 spouses, and because the husband was going to be unable to make it to the meeting, and we are all under the impression that anyone involved should be at any meeting, particularly the initial meeting, it was rescheduled. Ilse became ill the day of the second appointment, and attempted to contact you to reschedule, leaving a voicemail, and never received word back. We, of course, assumed you were no longer interested in our services to manage as no one ever called due to any sort of negligence on our part, and have since let it go. We were very interested in working with you, and are very disappointed that you were dissatisfied with our performance. We never intended on "blowing off" an appointment with you, and felt we took all of the right steps in order to ensure your needs were met. I do apologize we were not able to make it work, and wish you luck with your new management company.

Everything is Good :)

Prominent Management is good people. I'm happy living in my current apartment they manage because it's quiet and there are friendly people. They treat me well and keep up the well being of the building up. The only complaint i have is to stop the lady from feeding the cats.

Great MGMT

This MGMT co. is great. I called them to lease out an apartment I had that was vacant for a long time, I think about 3 months. Without even having to lift a finger they had it rented within the first month after we signed the contract. I originally planned on them just leasing my vacancy, but because they were so adept at leasing I decided I'd use them for all management services. They answered all of my questions to my level of understanding at the contract-signing and I don't even have to worry about my building anymore, they handle it all. They are always willing to help if I call in with a question. Anyone who owns and operates a small apartment complex should give them their business as they are friendly and do what they say they are going to do. Dont let prop. mgrs bad names fool you. They are not bad guys and they're great at helping the small landlord make money. I would recommend them to anyone who was trying to stay afloat on their residential investment property.
