I moved here when I got stationed at Ft Bliss. Stayed here all three years, didn't think of moving. This last year has been awesome. Management has changed a bit but at least for the better and many of the horrible dog owners who refuse to pick up after their dogs have left. Management had to crack down but it was getting out of hand and I love the fact that they don't allow them to let their dogs in the pool areas. If I wanted to bath with a dog, I'd get one.
The resident functions are fantastic, good food, good drinks, and you get to meet new people. I am sad to go to Germany but I am close to getting out and plan to come back here.

Lived at this apartment complex for a year, the advantage for me that it was very close to my work. The down side as many have stated, maintenance; submitted several request for work and in some cases it took weeks. Parking was horrible, when I signed the lease, it stated that parking will be restricted to one person living in the apartment and that I will have at least one space in front of the unit. As it turned out, multiple cars were owned by tenants. Complained several times and each time I was told, "yes, we will take care of it", but nothing was done. In some case, tenants parked in two spots for weeks. The amenities are great (playing area, conference room, etc), that is assuming you spend all day at the apartment complex. I am glad I was able to move somewhere else, this place is way too expensive and good luck putting in your 60 days moving notification.

This was the first apartment t...

This was the first apartment that I've ever lived in and I have to say the experience was so disappointing. My husband was in Afghanistan and at the time I was living in Maine, I choose this apartment based on their website and the fact that it had never been lived in before. Worst mistake ever! I had to move in three weeks before I needed to to avoid the rent from being jacked up, then the first week I was there my bathroom flood, there was at least an inch of water on the fake hardwood floors and the water continued into the bedroom carpet a good two feet or more. Trying to hook up my internet was a headache! The apartment didn't have the tv outlets available for a week after my move in, so my appointments kept getting cancelled. After living in the apartment for a month my toilet flood again, just as bad. Oh and both times no one answered the phone in the office when I was calling to inform them, I had to leave my apartment, toilet still flooding, then had a wait for maintenance to be available to stop the toilet! Our first water bill was almost $100.00 which was total crap cause the toilet flooded twice! The manager refused to credit us back for the flooding, until we went to JAG! The ac piping leaked into the bathtub causing it to stain. This apartment complex isn't friendly at all, the office staff is unbelievably rude and never seem to be available, there are maybe two people that are kind enough to assist you and the office manager isn't one of them. If you ever go to the office make sure that you have at least a half hour to wait, sometimes longer. Waiting to get out of that apartment was horrible, my husband got PCS orders which the office wouldn't accept. We ended up having to give a sixty day notice, but the time didn't start until the next time rent was due! Seven weeks later and we are still waiting for our deposit back! These apartments look wonderful from the outside, but once you get in there you will have one hell of a time getting out!

Worst apartments ever. They lo...

Worst apartments ever. They look so beautiful on the outside and the model home looks great too.. BUT the reality is, they are horrible. We paid over 850 for a one bedroom it was maybe 700 sq ft. The fake wood floors are horrible & you cant find any product to clean them. walls are paper thin, you can hear EVERYTHING literally. The office staff is horrible. They lied to us about what kind of apartment we were getting. Then they would literally come in our apartment once or twice a month. Always for some kind of fire extinguisher check so they said. Sometimes they would leave a notice usually not. The office gave us our allocated water bill late once & then charged us because I had to pay it online and the website was messed up and didnt process my payment of $7 and then charged me a $75 late charge even though they were the ones who didnt issue my water bill before the 1st day of the month when rent and water are actually due. please, If you want to move somewhere nice, quiet and private. DO NOT choose here. You will be highly disappointed.

Ok what can I say about the Re...

Ok what can I say about the Reserve At Sandstone Ranch...they are one of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in with the worst management and staff. Let's start with the quality of the place. They built this place when I was down range and they finished it within a year. That tells me that they rushed it and at the same time tried to make it look like some 5 star apartment complex. Our toilet had flooded within the first week and they told us it was our fault. But we had someone come and look at it that didn't work for the Reserve and they said the way that they did the plumbing was cheap and half a'd. Whenever we had a problem the management didn't give two cents. I got orders to PCS overseas and had 30 days til I had to leave and they still wanted to charge us rent and said we couldn't get our deposit back. It's been almost 3 months since we moved out and they still haven't given us our deposit. Seriously? The apartments might look nice, but they're touched up and cheap. There's no style in the apartments especially the two bedroom which features an open kitchen/dining room/living room setup with fake wood floors. Whatever you do, do not move here. Move somewhere decent like the Patriot Apartments on Kenworthy or shooo even the Army barracks are better maintained than the Reserve.

While the inside of these apar...

While the inside of these apartments can be nice...be prepared for a ride. From electrical fires due to shoddy work (something like 3 apartments caught on fire in one night), constant entry notices (be prepared to feel like you're living with parents), unannounced fire alarm tests (get ready to freak out after the electrical fires), half arsed maintenance work (hopefully you speak Spanish and like cleaning up after them), and low end appliances (crappiest tiny fridge, clean steel == plastic), to office staff that wouldn't know customer service if it slapped them in the face. The only person that can even help you in the office is the manager Fawn and while she is awesome it seems that she has so much to do from the poostorm she's trying to manage that she never has time to help. Every other person in the office seems to either have no clue what's going, can't do anything about it, or is a complete b**ch (*coughlindacough*). Have you ever thought how great it would be to *not* get a water bill before rent is due, then pay what the office says your water bill should be, only for them to come back a week after rent has been paid to tell you that you need to pay this NEW bill now or else suffer hundreds of dollars in late fees? Yeah it's like that. Sound like fun resort style living yet?

This place was thrown up in a hurry and it shows. If a little more care had been taken in the construction and a higher standard held for the office employees this would be a great place. As it stands now I can't wait until my lease is up so I can GTFO in a hurry. Lessee beware.

WAY over priced! Staff are very rude. They only pay any attention to you if you're dressed nice. Took over a month for my room mate to get their application approved after paying the $50 fee. Pictures shown on websites only show the bigger more expensive apartments. Place looks nice, but everything is fake. Wood floors aren't actually wood... 1 bedrooms barely have enough room for a couch and kitchen table. They do anything they can to get a few extra dollars out of you. Not a good place if you have pets. Overall if I had a chance to stay here again I would say "absolutely not!" .
