Was walking by the Mirai Bowl on Mesa Street when I caught a wonderful scent of food being cooked with strong surges of garlic. I walked into the Mirai Bowl and decided to order some 'Waki Soba Beef'. It was the only dish with noodles so I ordered it. Bad choice - got home and the noodles were stringy and dry. The little bit of steak meat in the dish was terrible. Felt like I was eating pieces of hard leather. This appeared to be a simple dish but all the ingredients were poorly cooked. I had also ordered an order of 'spring' rolls and was disappointed. They were more like little egg rolls from a box. No flavor at all. I noticed that the cashier was making some kind of sushi and not wearing gloves. I thought it was mandatory to wear health food gloves when touching fish - and then the cash register. Don't be fooled by the smells coming from an eatery. It can be deceiving. They should get a Japanese cook for this type of food. Last time me go there. I feel bad I wasted $13.00.
