My grandpa took his dog to the edgemere location on 11/5/17 and they did a horrible job they cut his dogs neck and gave her razor burn on her neck and they tried to say that it was from her collar which has never done this before she also has razor burn on her thighs and they refuse to do anything about it and tried saying the razor burn on her thighs is from a fight that she was in while visiting the groomers, but it's clear there was no fight and if there was why didn't anyone say anything, this place is horrible and needs to be shut down, do not take your animals there!!!!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!! We had been regulars at Happy Paws on Edgemere for the last two years. Our pet received a bath and a haircut four times a year. The quality wasn't always good but it was acceptable. On two occasions it was bad. The last grooming in March of 2016 was terrible. Our dog stated limping shortly after. I took her to the vet and they took Xrays and found two injured vertebrae. I know which groomer did it. The one male skinny wearing glasses. He is abusive and doesn't know what he is doing. I'll not take our pet again. Go somewhere else!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! We took our dog in March (she was a regular), and she was horribly. The story I got from the owner was that she moved while they were cutting her hair. She thought maybe it was because she was too excited with the other dogs. It was a HUGE hole between her front leg and body. What was going on for my dog to receive such a horrible injury? To top it off they didn't call me. I only found out because she had been there all day, so I went to check on her. That's when I met the owner at the front desk. The owner said to take her to the vet and bring her back when she was healed and she would pay the vet bill. I went back and the owner claimed to have no memory of the incident and refused to honor her word. How can you injure my dog, and then not pay for the vet bill for the wound you caused?! Horrible place!!!

Disappointed! Got my dogs home and found that one had a tip of his ear cut off. As well, they shaved him so close around his neck, that his skin as raw and bleeding. They put those little bandanas on them to cover up the abrasions.

This is the second time we've noticed these types of injuries to our dogs.

It would be appreciated if they would be honest and tell us before we left the premises that they injured our pets. But they weren't and that's not good business.

NEVER USE THESE GROOMERS!!!

We had used this service in the past and never had any issue. Today we took our elderly dachshund in for her routine grooming and dropped her off. We stopped in to check on her after about an hour, and were told by one of the employees that she had bitten another member of the staff, he had taken her out of the cage and not realized that her toenail was stuck in the cage and she bit him because she was in pain. When we went to pick her up, we were told a completely different story by the same employee, that she had jumped out of the cage, hung her own nail in the cage and was hanging and he was bitten when he went to help her. Having had this dog her entire life she has NEVER bitten anyone before, and she usually doesn't jump off of things up very high because her eyes are failing, we found this story hard to believe. Her nail was still bleeding, split in half all the way up to the flesh and the nerve was completely exposed. We asked for a simple written statement from the staff regarding the incident, for our own protection as well as theirs (since they claimed our dog had bitten a staff member), and we were told they would not provide one. I spoke to the owner on the phone who was extremely rude and kept threatening me with calling Animal Control, she refused to allow her staff to give me a statement and even refused to give me the name of the employee that was bitten. When I told her to call Animal Control, because then they could make her write the statement, she threatened to call the cops on me, and hung up the phone.



I reported the dog bite to Animal Control myself, as well as taking photographs of the dogs nail, and I plan on taking any and all action that is needed to see that there is some oversight into this owner, her staff and their business dealings. None of the staff were professional or apologetic at any time about the incident, and we are aware that accidents happen. The staff admitted to us that they have "accidents" with dogs all the time and that no other customers "freak out" about it.

Super job! They take their time and do exactly what is asked! Dogs are so clean, at reasonable prices.

I am very satisfied with the work that was done on my old english sheep dog.! They listened to my exact requests despite other places I've been to.! LOVE THE WAY MY PET WAS HANDLED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER.!! THANK YOU.!!

Best place to get your dog groomed....would definitely be bringing my dog here for her neXT visit...thanks Oscar for ur dedication

The employees were very nice and helpful. I took my 4 month old Yorkie to get groomed and was very pleased. Will definitely return.

I had read the scary reviews for this nearby groomer and decided that I would not take our dog there, but we rescued a dirty dog last night and wanted to get him a hair cut to make him look presentable as he looks for a new family. End result: bad, ragged, uneven hair cut and the poor puppy left the groomer limping. No injury, so I can only imagine that they were yanking his leg because he is a rambunctious puppy. These people have no respect for dogs or giving a good product or service. Save your money and your dogs

I took both chihuahuas here today for a grooming. Very happy and pleased. They were all done and happy in less than 2 hours. I will definitely go back!

I took my 2 dogs to 12370 Edgemere on Sunday May 6, 2013.



When I called 30 minutes after they opened I was told it would take 5 hours to groom them. When I got there 30 minutes later they told me that 4 other dogs had gotten there before me so now it would be 7 hours, or 7 p.m. on SUNDAY!



I was between a rock and a hard place so I left them. When I expressed that 7 hrs was a long time the person at Happy Paws told me he had to tell me honestly how long it would take...what a joke.



7 hours later I called to see if my dogs were ready and the person that answered the phone told me in a casual, nonchalant tone that it would take another 3 hours since my dogs were numbers 13 and 14!!!! Which if I am to believe what I was told they received 14 dogs in less than an hour which would have put my dogs at #13 and #14 and didn't receive anymore after then? I would have had to pick my dogs up at 10PM I hope there were no other dogs that had been there all day like mine.



1.) SUSPICIOUS- THEY ONLY TAKE CASH...how many businesses (franchises) are only equipped to take cash? Seems like a poor way to run a business or keep track of what employees are doing.



2.) their poor appointment scheduling...looks like my dogs were getting bumped so they were the last ones, remember cash only.



3.) How can any pet grooming business justify keeping any animal locked up in a kennel 5, 7, 10 or more hours????? they told me there were only 2 groomers and that I needed to understand...I do not.



4.) I was furious that they lied and my dogs had been there 7 hours and were not finished. When I went to pick them up they were supposedly bathed, one was half shaved - not groomed and one untouched. THEY ARE A MESS BUT AT LEAST I GOT THEM OUT OF THERE.



I was still made to pay $22 for the bath(s). Which I did since I honored what I should have. I had to call the police since they did not have change and made it my problem on what to do at that point. There were no apologies, just rudeness and bullying.



It seems like this business needs to be reported to our local news stations, the IRS and PETA so they can investigate the conditions that they are keeping the animals in, and their shoddy business practices.



There appears to be a number of unsatisified customers and injured animals coming out of this place.



I waited 2 days for their manager to call me with at least an apology and WHAT A SURPRISE - THERE HAS BEEN NO PHONE CALL.

I have been extremely happy with the results they have done on all my dogs. I have 2 poodles and a old English sheepdog. They have always done an amazing job although they can take a while it is worth the wait.

Took my golden retriever this past weekend. The service was fast and friendly. My dog came out looking handsome and smelling gooood. I will use Happy Paws again. Not only did they do a great job, they are also very close to my house. Thank you guys.

NEVER NEVER TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! We got a call from Happy Paws on Edgemere at the end of the day that they lost our dog, they said they did not know how that happened!! I wanted to talk to a manager or owner and they told me that they could not provide me with that information!!! We were able to find our dog way later and he was full of stickers and blood plus he had a bad haircut!!! If you love your dog never take your pets there. Worst experience of my life!

Long story short........First, I would just like to say that they took all day on my dog. I finally gave in and picked up my dog after 8 hrs as I was waiting in the waiting room I heard my dog cry out. As the man rushed out he asked what I needed then I told him he said she wasn't ready I said I dropped my dog off at 8 am and now it's 5:30pm. I want my dog now. As he brought my dog out I noticed she was bleeding from her tail. He had cut her so badly her tail looked swollen and I immediately took my dog to the vet to prevent her tail from being infected. Will NEVER take my dogs there again. sAD PART IS i STILL PAYED :(
