I was given the opportunity to learn and grow with a martial arts team through my teenage years and my 20s, and now as a parent, I wanted my own children to be part of a local martial arts team. My children became very interested in El Paso Karate since the instructors made several appearances at the their elementary school. At the time we were looking for an after-school activity for the children so we decided to visit the school for more information.

We have four children, and three of them (one was to young) attended EP Karate, and they all enjoyed it. As a parent, I found EP Karate fitness routines and lessons helped our children to stay fit and focus throughout school and summer times. Every belt promotion came with a new challenge - EP Karate instructors would always encourage the children to do their best and meet all their goals. All of our children are Honor Roll students. They have achieved several personal goals such as, Millionaire’s Club (read over a million words), Top AR student (reached the highest points reading books), perfect scores in science fair experiments and presentations, obtained the highest grade in several subjects for the STAAR exam, among other achievements.

My son, husband and I have been going to epkarate for many years, we all have gotten our black belt there and continue going. My son has ADHD and its the best activity for him it helps him focus and he learned a valuable lesson during his black belt test that when things get hard you don’t quit, no matter how challenging it gets for you. As for me, my self confidence has improved. My husband and son discovered that they are naturals at Karate. Me not so much, but I love the challenge the classes give me. I have also made friends with some of the best people on earth, the friendships I have made at EPKarate are priceless to me. Love the instructors there very energetic and motivating. They are always positive and never let you give up on yourself. EPKarate has made my life more exciting and adventures.
