Charging high prices for hail damaged cars, and sales people are know it alls who only care about being right rather than listening to the customers. (A salesperson I had never met before butted into a conversation I was having with the salesperson helping me, then became quite rude when I tried to leave the dealership).
Prior to arrival, I tried to contact the dealership to find out cost of car. No direct response. Bunch of silly emails and phone calls trying to ask what type of car I was interested in rather than answering my question.
Upon arrival, I asked to see a particular car and they put me in a more expensive car and tried to get away without telling me they were doing so.
I went to another dealership to purchase a car - and was treated with respect.

Made an appointment to look at a specific vehicle, and was told to meet with Liz. I got there and asked for Liz and was told she was eating lunch which I found odd because it was 415. I saw the van getting washed and asked what was going on with it. I was then told it was getting a new battery in it. Then after running me around the lot a few times looking at other vehicles I was told it was sold. Very uncooperative and then when I saw another vehicle the online price was 10k and they wanted 13k and I asked about the online price and the guy at the dealership told me that he couldn't give me that price. I guess they don't know that online prices are legally binding.

I just want to add a little something so all of you know. There is no such thing as "As is" Auto dealers might tell you this but if your car just breaks down a few months after purchase you can contact DPS and have them investigate these shady dealers in El Paso. I have done it before and they will come the their place of operation and make them show all their books and other complaints. Once that happens these fraudsters will be found for the criminals they are. They will lose everything dealers license, money, and their business. Dont let them take advantage of you. Do not even try to contact them just contact DPS they will get your money back for you.

My wife and I were in the market for a better vehicle. We were 21 & 20 respectively with less than perfect credit. At that point in time we were doing our best to improve it. We purchased a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. $7500 down.
I'm not complaining about the financing, and our credit wasn't so bad that we had to get one of those devices that requires a code every month. I understand why all that is done. Here's the problem.
We purchased the vehicle "as is", that's well understood. In the time since we purchased it:
The battery gave out within a few days of us owning the truck. Surprisingly enough Bestway had it replaced free of charge.
the fuel gauge went out after a month
$500 (the gauge is attached to the fuel pump inside the tank)
the water pump went out & took the serpentine belt with it
a mysterious check engine light that we have yet to figure out has been on since a month after we purchased this vehicle
$200+(so far we've replaced the MAF, fuel filter, air filter, etc) to no avail)
Due to this damn light, we have been unable to pass inspection. Our inspection has been expired since NOVEMBER 2011!!!!(It is now November 2012)
the key fob(remote entry) lock button stopped working
the CD player ate one of our CD's and has yet to spit it out to date
The alternator went out
Now, despite these suspicious events, I kept in mind that it was clear they weren't responsible even though it greatly diminished my opinion of them. We've had this vehicle less than TWO YEARS! Here's the event that really took the cake.
Remember the battery I mentioned earlier? It went out, AGAIN! It was from O'Reillys' Auto Parts. We gave them a call and even though the vehicle was ours, they can't honor the warranty because it's not transferable and the dealership had purchased it for us. We gave the dealership a call. They refuse to help us. Mind you, this won't cost them any money, not a single penny. All they have to do is take time out of their oh so busy day to straighten the matter out with O'Reillys' Auto Parts. They refuse, every person we've spoken with has been nothing but rude, even driving my wife to the point of tears!
We've made every single payment on this vehicle on time, driving all the way from Westside El Paso every month.
I will NEVER purchase a car from this dealership again. Even if they were the last dealership on the face of the Earth and someone had a gun to my head.
I will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone I know, and will go so far as to warn whoever asks and even those that don't, that they should never even take a look at this dealership.
Words can't express how much I absolutely abhor Bestway Auto's, they are the WORST car dealership 7 ways to Sunday!

They are CROOKS DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS
I purchased a vehicle 2 months before it broke down. Myself as 3 other customers run the same fate. I contacted the store and the finance Manager Benny. He thought it was funny that I complained as he told me that the car was sold as is. He tells me that Bestway can tow it to their lot and fix it. The towing and repair charges will be charged to my account. I asked about just receiving a quote for the work so that I may compare fixing the vehicle with a mechanic with a lower cost. He tells me they do not allow me getting quotes and that they are not in the business of doing favors or anything for free. At this time he advices me that people that purchase vehicles from them are misinformed and looking for something for free. After 3 months the agency has not fixed the vehicle, or applied for plates with the state of Texas. I received a citation for driving without plates before the car broke down. This company is out to get the consumers hard earned cash.

I should have read the comments before I bought my car. I should have checked the ratings on the BBB, see it for yourself:
what really bugs me is that, I spent the only money that I had saved because I really needed a car. If you have bad credit, ride the bus, I do. Save your money for a car that you really want, work hard for it. The larger the down payment the more willing the real car dealerships are to work with you.
So I tell you all, do your homework. I'm not going to bad mouth the company, they do it on their own. READ the BBB rating, it will also tell you that their accreditation needs a fresh start program.
Its so sad, and James A. (Owner) is giving a $30,000 car away as a charity donation. How very nice of him. I just hope its from of your real car lots, and not from your used.

Review number one is a liar. They are the worst auto dealer ship in the world. If you go to BBB, you will see they are rated an "F". They sell broken down vehicles and won't approve warranties. They ignore your calls, won't give you rental cars till yours is fixed and put you through to lying managers. They never return calls and make promises they won't keep to shut you up. My daughter bought a car there with a warranty and it broke down 2 days later. She was smart enough to purchase the warranty, but she still doesn't have her car back as of today (01/10/2012). They promised they would give her her money back and then they changed their mind. Then they promised her a rental car (they gave her a Ford Focus with a head light out), then they took it back and promised her a rental car and then made up another excuse why. THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST AND GOOD AT THEIR SCAMMING JOB!!!!! BUYER BEWARE. They need to be reported to the Attorney General and Consumer Reports for their games.

I recently bought a 2004 Jeep Wrangler from bestway autos. The deal itself went down pretty smooth. I have some credit issues and they were very understanding. I got the payment i was looking for and the rate. I love my jeep. The salesman mr. alonso was very dedicated and very professional. I will definetly send my family to do business with them. As a matter of fact my cousin will be there this weekend to buy a family van.

I had a few problems with he paperwork that I had at hand, so I had to do a trip home, but the sales man Albert was kind enough to take me. I had never heard of anyone doing that, he stayed with me until the entire process was completed, the time at the store was more than I expected, and they did ask for $300 bucks more than what I had for down. but the my sales man explained why and it made sence. overall the experiance was good and I got to take my Sierra 1500 home the next day. I would recomend bestway to my friends.

I would never, ever recommend this place to ANYONE.The guy helping us didnt get the credit for selling us the truck, some a!!hole did.Everytime I tried to call him and ask where my husbands truck was since they sold it to him with rotted tires(and it supposedly passed a 500 point inspection)He is VERY rude and said ""look,Im trying to make my money,I can talk to you""and would never call me back or my husband.Everytime I call I switched around to different a holes everytime. It took them 5 days to put on 2 new tires. They left NO gas in it and a soda can and food.I was going to buy another new vehicle in may but I will NEVER buy from there and I will make sure I tell everyone how horrible this place is.If you read good reviews on here, its them writing it.

The best way to experience bestway auto is to stay away. My wife and I went on a recent Friday to purchase a vehicle once we found what we didn't want it was only going to take about 20 mins for paper work to be completed we were the only ones there at this time. Well I had to be at work @ 1 didn't leave till about 330 got there about 915am. Ok the car dirty full of dog hair and the ac wasn't working the salesman says we can have these thins taken care of by next day afternoon. He calls me on saturday morning and says u can pick up the car because the shop is closed on weekends bring it back nextweek and get it done. Well its been about 3 weeks still not done. Here's the other problem when on thursday the salesman calls my wife to bring it in,once she got there for a job that should only take about 3hrs(according to him) took about six guess what the car is still dirty and he tried to hug and kiss her telling her if she was with him she wouldn't have to work. I am so angry right now I'm ready to kick his , but I just called in and told his mgr. Problem solved almost still gotta have it cleaned
We purchased a used truck and followed up with a used four-wheel vehicle. Both purchases were great experiences. The sales people were friendly and knowledgeable, and service was excellent. They did everything we asked and it felt like we were being welcomed into a family rather than simply buying a vehicle. We had a minor problem with one vehicle and Bestway was quick to respond even though we purchased the vehicle ""As Is"". They fixed the problem immediately and followed up to ensure that we were satisfied with the entire buying experience. We highly recommend Bestway Autos for the purchase of your next vehicle.
all went well, short delay i needed to provide proof of income and i am self employed, once that was done everything pretty smooth, i had a very bad trade in car that they took off my hands, would recommend

I wish I had read these reviews before I bought my car! My whole purchasing experience was horrible and now I think I have even more great things in the future to look forward to! The managers are horrible to say the least and the finance managers are total doushe bags as well. And the sales guy was a total creeper hittiing on me even though he was easily 2 or 3 time my age and a total doushe in the same right. I would never EVER EVER! recommend buying a car from t hem.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!! I HAVE HAD VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE WHEN I HAD GOOD CREDIT. BUT I GUESS WHEN YOU MESS UP YOUR GOOD CREDIT YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE. THAT IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE W/DEALERS THAT WILL FINANCE PEOPLE WITH BAD CREDIT.

I was searching for the phone number on Google and I decided to take a look at the review that someone else had written about Bestway. I was so happy to see that someone else had a bad experience. Let me tell you about mine... unfortunately I was sucked into their trap ( not like the previous review writter ) and I have been making my payments at least a week before they are due. One day I decided to print out my credit report and there it was A REPOSSESSION from Bestway Autos!! It took 3 1/2 months for them to resolve this issue. The Fresh Start Manager was super rude when I called him on a Thursday afternoon. He said that he was busy and that he would get back to me on Monday. I could not believe that he would not help me with the repo that was showing on my report. I am trying to get a house and to have a repo on there would ruin my credit score but this was not on his to-do list!! One of his workers even made an excuse for him saying that the previous manager really messed the place up and that he has a lot on his shoulders. That is no excuse to treat the customers like *$#@. Thank God that I am almost finished paying the car off! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone even if you are desparate for a car!

The customer service experience was a joke. I have never been treated like this at any car dealership. Very unprofessional help. They supposably only had ""4 cars"" on the lot. When I asked questions about the car, they were avoided. The price was ridiculous. ($12,000 for a used Cavalier with 64,000 miles). When I said thats too much all they did was take off the downpayment and add a few more months of payments. They treated me as if I was stupid. When I said I wanted my father to help me out they insulted me by saying "" oh so you let your dad make your decisions for you."" They tried to rush me into the deal, questioned why i wanted a car, didnt really give me any options for other cars. I asked for a 4 door car and they showed me a 2 door car. And had the nerve to say ""well you dont have any kids right, why you worried? Lets knock on wood."" What kind of professionalism is that? Not only that but I could hear the other salesman cursing and making fun of a client that wasnt present about how little money she made and ""she wasn't worth sh*t"". I will never go back here and do NOT recommend this place to anyone looking for a car with no credit or bad credit. I suggest going elsewhere!
