OUR PHILOSOPHY: As Edmond?s only pre-professional ballet studio, Classical Ballet School trains our dancers using the respected Cecchetti Method of classical ballet technique. We believe in developing our dancers? artistry and mastery through live stage experience in our annual professional-level story ballets. OUR HERITAGE: CBS was founded in 1978 by Kay Sandel. Kay passed on her legacy to Julie Bierne, owner-director since 2015. OUR SCHOOL: Located in Edmond on a private wooded lot, Classical Ballet School has a refreshingly beautiful, brightly lit, spacious studio covered in a nonslip dance surface for the safety of the dancers. OUR DANCERS: Students of Classical Ballet School have performed in local professional performances and have been accepted into many of the most prestigious programs throughout the country, including School of American Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Boston Ballet, North Carolina School of the Arts, Kirov Academy, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet Magnificat, Tulsa Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Harid Conservatory, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and National Ballet of Canada.
