I COPIED THIS COMMENT FROM PREVIOUS PERSON BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AND COMPLAINT! THEIR STAFF IS NOT TELLING YOU RIGHT UP FRONT WHAT YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR! TERRIBLE! THEY ALSO HAVE NO WILLINGNESS TO ACCEPT THE CLIENT IS ALWAYS RIGHT NOR DO THEY TAKE INTO ACCT IT BEING A NEW FACILITY AND STAFF SOLD A WRONG POINT. I WOULD NOT OF SIGNED UP FOR MEMBERSHIP IF I KNEW I COULDNT CANCEL AT ANYTIME. SO DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! THEY DONT COMPROMISE EITHER EVEN IF YOU PUT IT ON A FREEZE.

The treatment was okay, above average, BUT BEWARE OF THE MEMBERSHIP!! I unknowingly signed up for a 1 year membership without the ability to cancel...AT ALL. They will continue charging you for an entire year - whether you are satisfied with their service or not. Apparently you will find this out if you read the small print on the back of the contract for the Platinum Membership.

Seemed like a good deal at the time, but I had no idea that I was locked in for an entire year. Very disappointed.

Total scam. They sign you up for their service in store, but when you try to stop it, they continue to bill and make it extraordinarily difficult to quit. See reviews on the BBB site -- they are quite negative. Turnover is high as well -- you won't find the same therapist with any kind of consistency. Just try to find their corporate number to talk to anyone -- it is next to impossible. Turnover of staff is high as well. They are bad news. Stay away.

I have been a member of Massage Retreat & Spa for almost a year now, and it has been a truly rewarding experience.



First of, I disagree with other comments here about unclear membership information upon sign-up. When I was offered the monthly membership, I took it because of the increased savings for me, and my family members. It locks the price, and it is an encouragement to take care of myself at least once a month with a facial, massage, and sometimes both.



I was told that the membership continues for a year, and that payments would be collected monthly on a specific day each month. I asked if there was a way to get out, to which they answered that only by moving a certain distance away from their centers.



As for their service, everyone is wonderful! I go for routine facials and my skin started improving after the first visit. I am always offered excellent care by my specialist who makes recommendations about products, but never pushes me to buy anything.



The massages are great too. The therapists take their time to talk to you to customize the massage exactly for what you need. It is a real treat to go there once or twice a month, and I always feel spoiled by all of them.



I recommend Massage Retreat & Spa with enthusiasm.

Nice treatments they have there and prices are ok also. Still the way they created that membership system is something really unacceptable for me. Too bad because service is really ok, staff is polite and everything else except the way payment and those agreements/contracts.
